A Nice Meal
We recently went to The Ha Ha Bar and Canteen for a meal using our Tesco Vouchers. This was a great way to try out a new eaterie without spending cash and on this occassion, we were glad we didn't pay for this meal. I don't have anything particularly bad to say about the place but it just didn't hit the mark on our visit. I will try it again and hope for a better experience.Our visit to Ha Ha Bar and Canteen was fairly good overall but the atmosphere was lacking as there were hardly any other diners despite the fact that it was a Saturday Evening. Based on the Albert Docks, The Ha Ha Bar is set in an impressive spot and is the ideal location to take visitors to Liverpool. Diners cannot be failed to be impressed by the site of The Albert Docks.The staff at The Ha Ha Bar were very attentive and the food was good but nothing startling.

Don't bother...
Ha! Ha! Bar & Canteen in the Albert Dock is in a great location, and the restaurant interior is quite nice, but that's about all the nice things I can say about this place!The service is incredibly slow and inattentive. We went at lunch time and although it was busy, the amount of staff should have been able to cope. However, it seems they receive only basic training and it shows...The menu itself is very unimaginative and certainly not good value for this below average cooking. Although they have a few high chairs there is nothing child friendly on the menu and we were made to feel in the way with our 2 boys.The main aim of the restaurant seems to be to sell their range of sauces and dressing, not to provide good food!

Ha! Ha! more like Oh! No!
Went here for a quick evening meal one Saturday evening with the wife. Chose this place as it looked quite nice (decor a little All-Bar-One ish) and had a good atomosphere.WHAT A MISTAKE WE MADE!!!Took about 15 minutes before the waitress finally took our order (even though there were lots of staff working!). We ordered Bruschetta with Mushrooms (Starters) and a BLT & Seared Tuna (Mains). I should've twigged that something was wrong when the Waitress asked how I wanted my 'seared' Tuna steak cooked??? (more about this later).Anyway the Bruschetta Starters took 20+ mins to arrive (I mean 'come on' how hard is it to cook a couple of mushrooms and place them on some bread eh??).Then 30+ minutes after the Starters our Mains arrived. To say I was dissapointed is an understatement. The BLT was simply that - Bacon, Lettuce (a whole lettuce!) and Tomato, no dressing, no herbs, no spices or anything that would justify paying £8.50 for (I've had better BLT's from Boots!!) As for the Tuna, here was a revalation in incompetence! 'Seared' in most Chef's Recipe book means it is cooked on the outside, raw in the inside (bit like a 'Blue' Steak), what I received was an overcooked, dry, tough, flavourless Tuna Steak - it was foul! We didn't have time to send it back as we were already running late. When I did mention it to the Waitress, she apologised and said it was cooked like that as they'd had complaints in the past of the Tuna not being cooked well enough.....what like it was Seared perhaps???? Maybe they should change the menu and removed 'Seared Tuna' and replace it with 'Cremated Tuna'???Next time I'll stick with my 'Gut instinct' about a place and go to Panams or the Blue Bar instead!Plus Points: Location, Average PricedBad Points: Horrible Food, Slow Service, Useless Waiting On Staff
