Used to go to the Habibi when I lived in Coventry returned to visit my adult children and thought that would be the perfect place to take them for a meal. What a big mistake. Ordered a mezze for 5 there wasn't enough for 3 there was one of everything, 1 falafal pp, 1 tiny vineleaf pp etc.. the meat platter was a rice platter with a single cube of chicken and beef pp 1 very tiny kebab pp. I complained, was told that everyone complains but nothing changes. I asked to speak to the owner she was not interested, she told me they had charged £2.50 corkage and I was lucky not to be charged for the cans, she repeated this after everything I brought up then further insulted me by offering a £5 voucher for her restaurant. what should have been a special night was a disaster, we left hungry and unhappy, I will never go there again, she did not care, the food was nothing special and the servings were fine if you are an anorexic and don't want to eat anyway.

Service was very good and friendly and the presentation of the food was very good. The food was tasty and plentiful and cooked fresh. If you've not eaten this type of cuisine before then you're in for a treat. Best advice if you're having the Mezze and a main meal is to take it easy on the Mezze because you'll be too full to enjoy the main dish. We had the mixed grill which was absolutely delicious and the vegetarian options looked good too.
