Great food

This is a beautiful hotel right on the edge of Rutlad Water on Hambleton peninsula. We have been here a few times now and we always have a great experience. The food is fabulous, can't be faulted in any way. This includes lovely canapes and home made bread as well as an extensive menu. The wine menu is amazing, but we always drive so havn't got very far with that yet! The best part for me is at the end of the meal when they serve home made chocolates with your coffee. This is a small touch but they are delicious and really worth trying. Perfect place for a relaxed lunch, especially as there are often special offers on and would be a great venue for a Christmas meal. The location is lovely, looking right over the lake. Very peaceful and calm and you can sit back and relax in a comfty armchair and watch the wildlife. Be warned, this is the top end of fine dining and not cheap but worth every penny!
