The food was truly awful. Myself and at least 5 other guests had terrible steaks, fish, vegetarian. The chefs incompetence was only match by a waitress tipping hot coffee on one of our party. I cannot recommend this place to anyone who enjoys food.

The selection of food on offer at Severnshed is amazing. As well as a regularly changing menu there is usually a varied selection of daily specials available which ensure that the restaurant caters to the tastes of even the most fussy eaters. Whilst it isn't particularly cheap, it is good value for teh standard of food served. There is a great value for money 2 course meal offer available before 7pm Monday-Saturday which is a great way to try the restaurant out for the first time. The bar is separate to the restaurant and is a great place to enjoy a drink even if you choose not to dine. The cocktail list is extensive and the bar staff are really generous with the amount of alcohol that they use!

This modern European restaurant (and bar) serves up excellent contemporary food. The service is generally very good, as is the quality of the food. They have been known for fantastic off-peak eating deals (such as their infamous £7.77 deal, which allowed 2 courses of exceptional food for £7.77 if you ate before 7pm. And.. watch the bar get transformed as they resize the room! The bar, which weights 6 tons, can be moved up and down the building to change the shape of the room. Excellent! Nowadays it's a bit of a Bristol stalwart, and probably with good reason.
