Terrible agency, avoid them at all costs

My personal experience with Harsun has been terrible. At the very beginning they seemed polite and helpful, but towards the end of my tenancy things started to get much worse. They failed to accomplish their duties as estate agents by going against the law. Indeed they failed to pay for a broken lock which left me stuck in the flat for hours on a weekend night. I had to pay Locksmith myself and they refused to refund the invoice at the end of my tenancy claiming excuses such as the company not providing details and the fact that the manager could have helped me (as if he would be available on a weekend night and had Locksmith equipment!). Replacing a faulty lock is a legal requirement for both the landlord and those who manage the property (Harsun). I was charged for various minor issues such as light marks, water marks, bulbs (not replaced as broken and they failed to send an electrician). They took ALL of my deposit and even asked for money on top! I had to consult the Citizens Advice Bureau and solicitors but eventually left all my money to them due to health issues and stress. I asked them to fix a leak coming from upstairs which left my bathroom wet and slippery for 3 weeks but my request was neglected (they eventually send someone to repair only after another leak occurred in the building). The staff (I dealt with Agnieszka the whole time) lacks of common sense and will charge you for the slightest thing (even references, £30 per reference provided). On top of that, they increased the rent several times in the space of a few months. If you care about your hard worked deposit, time and health, please avoid this estate agency at all cost.

Harsun are incredibly efficient and professional as an agency. I always felt confident and happy with my dealings with the agents. We dealt with Agnieszka almost exclusively, who has an incredible work ethic and acted upon any issues we had immediately. I'm very surprised to see that some people have had an unsatisfactory experience with Harsun. In terms of deposits, as a standard Harsun use a government deposit scheme, so that your deposit is safe should any dispute occur with the landlord. Registration fees and check out fees are a standard part of dealing with an agency (especially in a renting market as competitive as London) and this is all made very clear in a sit down chat (and read of your contract) should you wish to rent from Harsun. We received our deposit back in full, and found Harsun to be very fair at judging any 'wear and tear' that may have happened over the course of our tenancy. I also think Harsun price their flats very competitively. We found them to be good value in this sense, especially considering the market (we did a lot of research and other viewings in the area to compare). I was very pleased with my experience with Harsun, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to a friend, which I think is a good reflection of their service!

All these positive reviews were probably written by them. When you move in they're really helpful and nice, all smiley and lovely. As soon as we moved in and started asking a few things about our rights, the state of the flat, appliances working or not, they started to get all anxious and frustrated. Let me put this clearly: they DON'T CARE about YOU, but about YOUR MONEY. They'll milk you for all you've got when it comes to deposit return. They want the flat in better conditions then it was when they gave it to you, they're utterly ridiculous. On top of that, there's one of their agents Agnieszka, she is a complete NUTTER. She gets angry and frustrated at anything you tell her that concerns your rights as a tenant. She's incredibly rude and inefficient, she obviously can't do her job and is frustrated by it. She can't deal with people, and, I repeat - probably the most ill-mannered woman I have ever met. We were horrified by her, we had to contact the boss once because she was being completely nonsensical about frivolous issues, and he had to apologise for her. Whatever you do, DO NOT deal with her or you will have a nightmarish experience. I have never been so appalled by a PAID SERVICE'S INEFFICIENCY in all my life. I definitely do not recommend.

From my point of view, we haven't had any problem with the agency, if we have had any inconvinient with the flat we have reported to them and they have helped us without any problem. Very helpfulness staff, i got all my deposit back

I have rented with them once. I jsut moved out and got my full deposit back (after 2 weeks). I never had problem with repairs- just called them and they would sort it out. I locked myself out one day and they send someone form the agency with extra set of key to let me in. No other agent done that for me so I can say that Hasrun is very helpfull. I do reccomend this agent!

I've been renting from Harsun for the last two years, i don't recall any time in which they have not been helpful and easy to cooperate with, if ever an issue would come up i simply would go their offices and sort it out.

I will never recomend this agency. They just want your money, any repair? they don't care at all! before I moved in I noticed some things to repair in flat. They said to me that the repair was done. Unfortunetly 2 months after moving I noticed that they lied to me. Any calls, any letters didn't help. In the end of tenancy they over charged for stupid things. If you don't want loose half of your deposit or fight with agency if you need any repair? Don't rent the flat from Harsun!

Be careful with these guys. If you're renting with them, be aware that they will charge you with (high and unfair) fees for anything, such as those for registration, for handling any deduction from the deposit, for letting you change anything in the flat, and so on. So make sure you are shown all the terms before you hand them any deposit, and negotiate on those terms when you still can. Personally I had serious trouble only when they tried to charge me for a full solar month before moving out, in which case I had to turn to an advice bureau (the BPTRG) to sort it out and pay just for the days I actually was going to be in. On the whole, they use to be extremely kind when you ask something you're entitled to, but not helpful at all when you need an extra favour (unless you offer to pay).

Stay away from this agency. I have been renting flats for the past 7 years in different locations and with many different agencies, and I have never experienced such a terrible service as with Harsun. I went thorugh the same pain as Mark P. and even worse. They have been unfair, they have lied to me, told me I was making things up, charged me for non existing issues. Please don't go, people like them should go out of business!

I've been renting with the agency for the past 4 years. They been always very helpfull. All the problems were sorted immidiatelly. Is a third property I've rented with them and never had a problem with the deposit refund. They've been very reasonable.

If you rent from these guys they will claim any wear and tear was your fault. Anything you tell them that they don't like, they will say is you lying. When you go to get your deposit back they will add trumped up cleaning and damage charges. Then threaten you with applying admin charges if you go to the deposit scheme.
