Hector Finch has worked with lights and lighting since 1993, expanding on his Great Grandfather's legacy â€" in 1882, he founded Hayes & Finch, the UK's leading ecclesiastical candle makers and this is still a family firm. After dealing in the North of England for a few years, Hector acquired his first London lighting shop, in Chiswick. Within two years Hector had outgrown the premises and moved to the current showroom, in Fulham. His passion for lighting soon filled the new shop with a huge variety of lighting products including many pieces from the period covering the heyday of lighting design 1890â€"1930 and the early English makers of electric lighting such as Faraday, Osler and Best & Lloyd. Hector's penchant for engineering, his eye for quality and design and his unusual photographic memory have all been utilised in the development of his unique lighting business â€" he still offers a highly personal service to his clients, many of whom have been coming to him since he first started.
