I've just fired Homebirds, after a few years of using them.

In that time I've had one great cleaner, one who started out fine and got progressively worse, and two real failures. They are relatively reasonably priced (though by no means cheap at £11/hr for regular cleaning and £16/hr for one off cleaning.) The break point came when I asked them to clean the flat I'd just sold and moved out of. They'd told us they needed 7 hours on a now empty flat with 5 rooms and a hall, and assumed that we wouldn't go back and check. It was the most cynically bad job, with cobwebs all over the place, floors not mopped, and no pretence at lifting a bit of spare carpet to clean the area under it. If you get lucky and find a decent cleaner with home-birds, I think it's more luck that anything they've had to do with the process. My suggestion would be to avoid them. Two stars for the lovely Diana, and nothing for the rest of them, with an additional star removed for the way they handled being fired.
