My daughter an I had spent an age searching for a Prom dress.... We were advised to go to Sparkle in Winton (never heard of the place before) We arrived after getting lost twice so to say I was harrassed would havee been an understatement!!! As we opened the door the gentleman working must have picked up that my stress levels were through the roof, he immediately took charge told me to have a sit down and he would see that my daughter had a suitable selection of dresses to try on. He then called one of the ladies that work there to also assist us. My daughter found the dress of her dreams... relief!!! My immediate thought was OMG we have this all again for shoes and bag!!! When the gentleman said have you thought of shoes "we have a fantastic selection here I'll grab some for you" He returned with tiaras, shoes and bags. Job done, it was like a one stop prom shop, we even purchased her earrings and necklace there. The staff at Sparkle couldn't have been more helpful. I would reccommend them to any other harrassed, stressed mothers looking for prom dresses for their little princesses.

i was very nervous but excited to go looking for my prom dress. i got told by many friends to visit the house of sparkle there is so much choice for a great price!. the staff at house of sparkle are very helpful and made my experience very fun and relaxing. within the shop they have lockers where you have to lock your bags in and you get given the key. at first i was a little unsure about this untill they explained this was because of catches on the dresses. however when i got taken through the back room i realised how helpful this was because there was so many dressesand when i was trying on dresses i didnt have to worry where i left my bag. before trying the dresses on i got given the choice to take my make up using a wipe or having a head scarf i think this is a brillant idea because it saves marking the dresses. this shop have a great system where the only sell and let one dress go that school, so i am relieved to know no-one else in my school will have the dress i have got!!...

Worse than terrible

Terrible doesn't fit the description. No words can even begin to imagine what I'm thinking. As soon as I stepped into that shop, I wanted to leave; it's over crowded and barely any room to move around. You can't even go into the other rooms without having to be guided there, as if he doesn't even trust his customers. Horribly organised. You're not even allowed bags with you, understandable if the bags had any hooks; my bag was a small and plain, it had nothing on it yet it was taken off of me. Warning bells went off in my head, it ringed suspicious. I allowed him to take it but not my money. As I looked at the dresses, I was accused of makeup and was shocked that I didn't answer because of this I was not allowed to touch any of the dresses. He even asked, his tone of voice deeply horrible, "Did you touch that dress?" Charge of ten pound if dresses get dirty, even by accident. Women's' changing room, where do I even begin, the curtains made me self conscious as I thought others could see through, men are even allowed down into the women's' changing room. I also despise his attitude. Not welcoming and acts as if he's better than his customers. To be honest, I never want to step in that place again. I refuse to, second hand dresses for an expensive price, I rather buy a new one. Oh and also, i work as a mystery shopper, and I must say, it would fail. Greatly.
