Painful
The inital chat was great and then when I agreed and paid the deposit, it went down to the bottom. Fitters arrived late and then had an argument with their bosses on the window measure. They became angry and left with NO WINDOWS on. Upon constant calling, other fitters came next day who did not have much idea. To cut it short, I had to involve FENSA and trading standards for them to complete the work. Such arrogant people and no clue about the word customer service. MUST AVOID UNLESS YOU WANT HASSLE

rubbish job never recommend to anyone
To cut the story short very unprofessional, unreliable caused so much stress and they only after your money. I have lost my sleep over this job.

''Great Experience''
I have looked for an honest double glazing company for a while and the visits from the salesmen have put me off so much I have refused to give anybody else a chance and stayed with my drafty windows for a year. Then a friend of mine had his windows and doors replaced and said HSB Home Improvements is really straight forward and the prices are genuine and fair. I am happy I gave HSB Home Improvements a chance.They made all the doubt and bad experience good again. I can highly recommend!

They do what they do
They said they wouldnt sit here for hours to quote and they didnt. The surveyor and fitters turned up when they said and finished when they said. They said there wouldnt be any extras and there werent. Top job at a good price will use them again next year

''first class service from enquiry to fitting."
Took the chance of making an enquiry . Thought that I would be the subject of 'heavy' sales approach but wanted to find out likely costs. Very surprised at quote which was a lot less than advertised by other companies and no pressure sales rep. Arrangement for fitting first class and helpful in setting out all options. Fitting team was excellent. They were courteous, friendly and efficient. Couldn't have asked for more. Highly recommended.

'' A Great Service...''
The installation men were very prompt and arrived exactly on time. They cracked on straight away fitting my new composite front door. They were extremely clean and tidy and left no mess whatsoever. The door is even better in the 'flesh' than the picture. Fantastic quality with excellent security locks and the door furniture sets the door off a treat, again excellent quality. In my opinion, everyone involved, from the initial visit from the Salesman, the follow up calls and the Surveyer, to the installation team, all were very professional.I havent anything negative to comment about HSB or their installation team and I would definitely recommend them. Without sounding too sad, I'm over the moon with my new front door, it is exactly what I ordered and couldnt be happier! Many thanks

FENSA registered but will do you over.
We chose HSB on recommendation from a neighbour based on price I think now. Initial consultation they come over and gave a price different than on the leaflet when questioned we were told the deal had ended however a week later got the same leaflet through! On fitting day 2 men arrived 2 hours late and started work, they were waiting for the windows to arrive so decided to start the removal of our old windows so they weren't wasting time waiting around, at 2pm the wrong windows arrived and the men argued between themselves in a foreign language and told us the new windows were coming. The correct windows arrived at 4ish in which 3 men were now present. At 5pm 2 of the men decided it was the end of their shift and left, with huge holes in our holes mid December! Rang the office of HSB who told me we would get 10% off and he would send more workers. 1 man stayed until 9pm and taped our windows in so he could fit them properly the next day but wasn't left with holes in our house overnight. He came back the following morning to finish and we gave him the discounted rest of fee due, he told us this would come out of his wage and can we pay him the full amount as he has children. We declined. Fast forward 6 months, sold our property. Solicitors asks for the FENSA cert for the windows, this is when we discover they didn't register the work. Cut a very long story short, 9 phone calls to HSB and fobbed of illegally with 'you have to pay for the cert' 'its too late to register the work' 'we didn't request to have the work FENSA registered so have to pay extra' 'we don't have a record of fitting windows at your property' ' you didn't pay us after the job so can't issue you with a cert' 'we contract out so have nothing to do with your windows you should have checked if the fitter was FENSA registered' The 'accounts' manager/lady even came to our house and asked for the remanding money...we have it recorded on Dictaphone that she thinks her contractor ran off with the money. FENSA (Cathy at FENSA) was fabulous at resolving this for me and forced the contract they had signed upon them and issued them with a 24 hour timeline to register their work. They eventually registered our work but after very much stress, intimidation and lies. As for the work we were left with sharp edges on the window sills, non kite marked glass and drafts. If you have used them and have a problem please contact FENSA direct and they will help you amazingly! If your thinking of using them because of their price then save a little more and go elsewhere!
