Whether your visit is for business or pleasure Hunters Lodge is conveniently situated for Southampton City Centre including the Guild Hall, Civic Centre, Mayflower Theatre, West Quay Shopping, Leisureworld, Ocean Village Marina, Docks, Ferry Port, Cruise Terminals, University and General Hospital.
We are located in a quiet residential district yet within easy accessibility of the city centre. Our double fronted Victorian house retains many original features which are enhanced by the furnishing styles within the public areas. Built in 1900 Hunters Lodge has operated as a hotel and guest house providing accommodation since 1926 and was extended to its present size in the 1970's and late1980's.
Bedrooms are comfortable and well equipped. In addition there is a spacious dining room and a lounge with a well stocked bar is available. Our cosy lounge bar, with its open fire in the winter, creates a warm friendly atmosphere for you to enjoy a drink, view television, or just simply relax with a good book. The dining room awaits you early in the morning for a complete hearty breakfast.
Within the locality there are a variety of many fine cafes, bars and restaurants available for your evening meals and catering for all tastes. Southampton also has a variety of galleries, cinemas, music venues, theatres and nightlife for your enjoyment whilst you are here. The city centre is only a short walking distance away (1.4Km) and local transport is both frequent and accessible.

Conveniently situated for Southampton's amenities such as West Quay Shopping Centre, Mayflower Theatre, Civic Centre, Ocean Village, Leisureworld, Guildhall, University, Hospital, Cruise and Ferry ports and Docks. Easily accessible from M3 or M27 motorways and within easy walking distance from Southampton Central railway station (0,8K). All rooms are ensuite (wc/shower/washbasin etc.) non-smoking and the room tariff is inclusive of full English breakfast and vat(17.5%). Licensed residents bar and safe off road parking.

An excellent B&B
Hunters Lodge is only about 10 / 15 minutes walk from the city centre and only about 10 minutes walk from Southampton Common – excellent place to go for a walk. Located on a quiet street so no traffic noise at night. I stayed here in May 08. My single room was compact but very comfortable and nicely decorated. A good quality bed, nice ensuite with a decent shower and all spotlessly clean. The owners (Jim and Josie) are very friendly and exceptionally helpful. Good breakfast. Far superior (and, at £44 per night for my single room including breakfast, significantly cheaper) than a Travel Lodge! All in all, one of the best value places I've ever stayed at in the UK.
