We started by asking igloo for a quote to replace 2 windows in our Grade 2 listed cottage, although we knew more work was needed. It was obvious from the first meeting that Duncan is passionate about the restoration and maintenance of listed properties. We extended the project to include removing render, checking timbers behind and replacing where necessary, replacing laths and re-rendering in lime. They also repointed the lower bricks and ragstone with lime mortar and installed a French drain around part of the house. Repointing the chimney became rebuilding the chimney, but at each stage Igloo took a pragmatic approach and appreciated we had a limited budget. We are very pleased with the finished work and feel confident that the house is now in good repair.

Igloo renovated our Edwardian House, adding an architect designed extension to the back of the property. Throughout the project Igloo ensured that we were consulted carefully at every stage, with encouragement to discuss thoroughly all aspects of the work, including positive suggestions from the tradesmen on site. The renovation of the house was completed with care and a sensitivity for the older part of the building. The new extension which included a complicated roof structure was built with great skill and a real sense of pride. We continue to be delighted with our ‘new’ Edwardian house. We are very grateful to igloo for undertaking and completing the work so successfully.
