IMA Electronic Media is a website design and intranet/extranet development specialist based in Bramhall, near Stockport, South Manchester.

With roots in the advertising and marketing consultancy sector, the company was founded in 1996 and has subsequently evolved from "design online" into an online specialist offering experience in a broad range of web technologies.

Since 2002 we have focussed on the design and development of intranet, extranet, bespoke content management systems and e-commerce systems, which now represent a significant element of our business. We service a portfolio of clients across the UK that range from single-site retail operations to a gaming network with over 30,000 outlets.

Web Design

IMA Electronic Media has been built around the presentation and management of information via the Internet, and website design remains the cornerstone of our business. Over the last 12 years we have been pleased to design and build sites for business-to-business and consumer audiences covering the automotive, sports, leisure, travel, grocery, wholesale, financial, construction, DIY, recruitment, farming, drinks and publishing sectors (to name just a few).

Having developed our business within a full-service marketing environment, we strive to differentiate ourselves from other website design agencies through our understanding of clients' business objectives and the role of online investment within clients' broader marketing plans.

Every member of the team is capable of independently designing and building a website that is fully compliant with current standards and browser platforms. In practice, we each specialise in individual areas (or technologies) and combine to deliver the most appropriate solution in each instance. Collectively we are able to offer over 50 years' experience in website planning, production and promotion.

We take great pride in the sites that we produce and ensure that we are always able to offer our clients maximum flexibility in the way that their sites look and function. To this end, we write all code in-house and use basic text editing software, avoiding off-the-shelf packages that will ultimately restrict our ability to meet specific client requirements. This approach is maintained across our development of bespoke Content Management Systems (CMS) and E-Commerce systems.

Extranet Design, Intranet Design & Web Applications

Our most significant areas of development in recent years have been the design, build and management of corporate extranet systems, intranet systems and other bespoke web applications. Here, we are asked to produce browser-based business management tools to meet a broad variety of client requirements, including stock management systems, call centre and telesales management systems, logistics and personnel management systems and financial forecasting tools.

Due to the nature of these corporate systems, we are not able to include screen grabs or details of content on this website. We focus instead on different types of projects that we are involved in and some of the functions that we incorporate into these closed facilities. We do have agreement from selected clients to showcase certain projects in a presentation environment and would welcome the opportunity to discuss the full scope in these areas face-to-face.
