Is Lorisolivia furnishings still trading?
Can anyone tell me if Loris Olivia furnishings is still trading? Cannot get hold of these people, supposed to be repainting a dining set we purchased last year 6 months ago, but no contact whatsoever, now the paint has peeled off in 2 feet patches only to reveal horrible brown lacquer underneath,I have emailed, phoned and text but silence

Rude
Incredibly rude man (Mark presumably), I'd asked if he could make me a bespoke shelf and showed him a picture...he told me to go to Wilkinsons! if you're not interested in the work that is fine but don't fob me off and pretend I can get what I want on the high street - of course I can't which is why I needed it making in the first place! Customer service is everything because I had planned to order a dinning room set from them but shan't bother after that interaction and after reading these reviews.

Waste of money
Shoddy workmanship, totally unprofessional. Waste of money, trading standards investigation in process. Wish I had read the reviews before making a purchase.

Con artists
These are the biggest con artists I have ever come acros, pleas do not trade with them. They are happy to take your money and then they don't want to know. They will of written the good reviews themselves. As for getting hold of them on the phone it's absolute joke. Please don't be fooled by these con artists.. How they sleep at night I will know.. They are nothing but ronbbers as far as I am concerned,. There are plenty of other places out there so shop around and giver these a wide birth, you have been warned. BEWARE.

So Very Patient
I would like to Thank both Lou And Mark for being so understanding and patient whilst helping me to choose my new Dining set from Loris Olivia Furnishings . I took up absolutely lods of their time and despite the fact that they were quite obviously extremely busy they showed me the utmost courtesy for which l am truly grateful . The Dining Set is Fabulous and l will be returning shortly to re furnish my Master Bedroom .

Truly Amazing Furniture

The Bedroom and Dining Furniture l purchased recently are Truly Amazing . And also very reasonably priced . Will be returning for more soon once my other new carpets are fitted .

Fears Totally Unfounded
Wh l first read a couple of early reviews about this company l was somewhat apprehensive about trading with them but decided to give them a chance as they were a new young enterprise . How glad l am that l did . The furniture l purchased from them is truly amazing and was delivered on time as promised . Please do not be put off by any negative reports you may read about Loris Olivia Furnishings as they are a truly wonderful company to deal with . Like me you will not be disappointed .

Sheer Quality
When l first visited Loris Olivia Furnishings and was told by Lou that the Company only started trading in June 2014 l hd no hesitation in giving them a chance as the furniture in the Shop was Sheer Quality . When l received my Dining Furniture l was absolutely ecstatic . This company really isFirst Class . True value for money and wonderful people to deal with . I will be returning soon .

First Class Restoration
Just had my old Dining Table and Chairs together with my Wardrobes and Bedside Cabinets restored by these Wonderful People and couldn't believe that it was the same furniture when it was returned . Excellent value for money . First Class Restoration by the lovely young lady Lou . Thanks a Million .

Driver most helpful
Just wanted to say a big thank you to Loris Olivia for supplying and delivering my bedroom furniture. Looks really nice and am so glad I came in and had a consultation regarding colours. A big thank you to your driver Alan who tirelessly carried everything upstairs for me and had the patience to wait while I rearranged things. A real credit to the business and a right character although a lot of what he said went right over my head as I found it hard to understand his strong northern accent. Thanks again Loris Olivia.

My dining table is the talk of the street
Ordered a dining set six weeks ago and took delivery on Monday last. I am really pleased to say the least. The build quality is second to none and the finish looks stunning. I choose matching fabric to my curtains and so glad I took the ladies advice at the shop. I have had all my friends round to admire my new dining set so don't be surprised if they all order a set.

Job well done
i like to use local businesses where I can and had driven by a few times living in the same town as the shop, so when I needed my kitchen cupboards repainting I called in to see a lovely chap at Loris Olivia Furnishings who took the time to go through exactly what I wanted and helped choose the right colour. To be honest I had no idea there were so many to choose from. After settling on all the details it was arranged that my cupboards would be collected the following morning. As promised a couple of chaps turned up on time and carefully unscrewed all seventeen of my kitchen door cupboards. After carefully wrapping them and loading into the van off they went with the promise to return within the week. Five days later I get a call to arrange the return of my doors. Once again the two guys did a fantastic job putting them back together and I must say they look beautiful, as good as new at a fraction of the cost. Well done Loris Olivia Furnishings it really makes a refreshing change when company goes out of its way to help the customer. I will certainly be going back again I already have my eye on a new dining set.

Very pleased with my new dining set.
I don't usually bother writing reviews but this time I thought it well and truly deserved. After taking an age to decide on my colour scheme Lou was very patient with me and offered advice time and time again even after I changed my mind twice. After ordering I was promised delivery within five weeks so as you can imagine I was delighted when a very nice gentleman rang to tell me it would be ready for delivery two weeks earlier than anticipated. I was given a one hour time slot to save me waiting in all day and the driver duly arrived at the designated time.After unloading he not only placed it in my house exactly where I wanted it but also assembled the table top to the base without any prompting . I am extremely satisfied not only with the service provided but by the excellent quality of workmanship and attention to detail. I for one would not hesitate in recommending Loris Olivia Furnishings to friends and family.

Con artists do not buy from them
Ordered dining chairs from them two month ago and the items have never arrived after several promises to deliver them. When placing the order they are so helpful then once they have your money they ignore any calls and emails the only way to get them to answer is by calling from another number. Please don't make the same mistake as me and pay by bank transfer I have now lost £470 but have reported them to the police. How do they sleep at night!

Whatever you do, do not buy from this so called 'company'. You will NEVER receive your order once paid for. You will wait forever for any contact and even when contact is made, false promises are given each and every time. I have never came across a company as appalling as this in all my life. They advertise their products which are simply photographs taken from other websites and not their own! How they are still in business is beyond me. Unprofessional is a MASSIVE understatement. I ordered through Etsy and luckily enough they refunded me due to the fact that this company repeatedly promised delivery of my goods. They then disappeared and ceased contact apart from a message to Etsy to say I was 'harrassing' them. They had £750 of my money. Please DO NOT buy from this company

CON ARTISTS DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY
I purchased a dining suite from this company and initially they were very helpful sending out fabric samples, after I paid in full (as it was bespoke it had to be paid in full) after the time had passed for it to be made I contacted them. I was lied to again and again about the status of my delivery even going as far as to say it was being delivered on a particular day. 2.5 months later no dining suite and they have ceased all contact with me. Always buy on a credit or debit card (some debit cards have charge back protection) and NEVER a bank transfer which I they were trying to get me to do, thank goodness I didn't. Bottom line avoid at all costs, Trading standards will hopefully close these con artists soon down so nobody has to go through the stress of being ripped off and losing their hard earned money. How they sleep at night is beyond me!

Just got my old bedroom furniture back today repainted by Loris Olivia Furnishings. I can't believe I was going to take it to the charity shop. It looks better now than it did new, completely different. Thank you for your help picking the colour it looks great.

Ongoing saga
I ordered a cream dining room table and chairs and paid extra for cushioned chair backs and buttons. Well....... I should have read the reviews on this company before making my purchase. They were very helpful during the order process but as soon as the order was placed and my money sent, this is where the helpfulness stopped. So, I waited 9 weeks for delivery, when the furniture arrived the table top was badly damaged in transit, the painting was the poorest quality I've ever seen, dust, woodchips, hairs, brush bristles and god knows what else actually painted into the surface of the table and the brush strokes engrained in the paint looked as though a child had painted it in 5 minutes flat. So, on to the chairs. The cushioned backs were tissue paper thin, the buttons were randomly placed, no centring, no consistency in spacing, so chair to chair it just looks horrible. Also the buttons weren't fixed so as soon as you sit on the chairs or touch the buttons they just fall off. So overall, very unsatisfactory and here the fun really starts. I complained and after 3 attempts they picked up the phone and agreed to collect the furniture and put everything right to my satisfaction. 4 seperate missed collection promises, 3 days ooked off work to be there when they arrive and god knows how many e-mails later, I have still not had collection and they have ceased communication with me. My advice....... steer well clear of this company. They appear to offer good value but their products are very sub standard in my experience and their after sales customer service is non existent. Basically, once they have your money, they don't seem to care and don't want to know you.

avoid at all costs
When you finally get throughout to them after an age - (they never respond to any of there phone messages, e-mails, Facebook/gumtree messages! They are extremely helpful at first because they want your money, they then over promise and under deliver like no other company i have dealt with - infact if it wasn't due to the fact it is so irritating it could be a comedy sketch! You wait and wait for a product that never arrives and when it does it is so poorly made the chair actually moves from its base, the springs can be seen from underneath, there is paintbrush hairs in the paint, the paint work is unfinished and they wrap it up so poorly it gets damaged in transit! You then have to wait an age - (approx 58 phone calls and 6 e-mail later) to get in touch - they say they will sort. So again you wait and wait for collection whilst trying to make sense of their bad customer service. (seriously how can a business survive this?!) They then over promise and under deliver again when it comes to redelivering your 'supposed new items' They promise to call you back - they NEVER do. They promise you will get your goods on a certain date - YOU NEVER DO. You have to chase and chase and then finally you ask for a refund - which i am still waiting for. If you manage to speak with Lou you maybe in with a chance of getting somewhere if it is Mark that your dealing with - put the phone down and take your business elsewhere you have not got a hope in getting your items. To top it off when you explain all of this to them and ask why you have not even received an apology there is silence at the end of the phone! You could not make this company up! This is the first time i have had to review a company because it is so bad but i would hate others to have to make the same mistake - ADVICE? AVOID!

DAMAGED DINING SET
Please DO NOT buy from this shop.....i brought a dining set from them, when it arrived the table had 12 big chips on it, and 3 of the 6 chairs were broken ( one very crudely held together with 4 screws, that had then just been painted over) they do not return any calls, the man (mark) said he would refund us our moneyand take back items, but basically just kept fobbing us off with pick up datesetc, the workmanship is shoddy and shocking, its looks like a child has painted the set.
