Visit with the family often and sometimes takeaway. good friendly service and as on a budget bringing your own drink is a preference. Have been to others but always return, long may they continue !

Overated, expensive and poor service

The extensive synopsis of accalades listed at the front of the in house menu does little to represent the quality of food experienced at my first visit. A chicken karai delivered within 6 minutes of ordering consisted of a base sauce similar to all other diners around me. To accompany the curry TWO chappatis priced close to £4.00 did not make the taste experience any better. A diet coke was duly returned as being flat to be replaced with a drink from a plastic 2 litre bottle. The meal portions are very generous but quantity can never supercede quality ! An experience totalling £17 -the bill was challenged for the purpose of feedback but was not recieved well particulary after highlighting that the total cost did not even add up to the indivdual prices?!! In summary a recommendation i cannot provide but do direct readers to the previous excellent reviews in 2008 and 2010 for fair comparison.

Been going there for about 145-15 years. Has always been good, great with kids too as fast service means can be in and out in well under an hour for 3 courses. The portions are massive. Staff are friendly. Prices are good too, being on the cheap side for Northampton, when Northampton is already cheaper than most other towns/cities I have been to.

Great place for a meal with mates

Feeling really hungry for Indian food then the Imran is the place to go. Huge servings mean no one leaves this restaurant wanting for more to eat. Good for a night with mates. You can even take in your own drink and pay a small corking charge; you can of course purchase drinks in the restaurant. Service is good, prices reasonable, never had a bad meal. I visit this establishment on a regular basis and have recommended friends who have also enjoyed the food here.
