Our story

We are an authentic artisan bakery, where our people are as genuine as our products. Founded by Amanda and Patrick in 2015, Indigo Bakes holds a captivating story of determination, love and a true passion for baking. Although Patrick's roots have always been in baking, it took 16 years of commercial baking and an Iron Man injury to bring him back to the heart of baking. It was then that he, and his wife Amanda, set up an ambitious specialised ‘bakery' in a humble shed.

Each loaf that emerged from this shed had been tenderly dreamed up and created, using traditional methods. Although their business has now expanded from the shed days, Patrick, Amanda and their team continue to lovingly bake their products with real authenticity and passion, always coming back to what is truly important to them... honest, mouthwatering baked goods, and a decent dose of work-life balance.
