This should be great news for people who make a living out of letting properties but if they can't afford a mortgage - can they afford rent?. It is interesting to note that many young people are now staying at home rather than saving up for a house. This means they are using their disposable income buying expensive cars and other high value goods. This `live now..wory later` mindset is not untypical of younger people, good luck to them.That being the case, a concern would be that if they decide to rent their own place they are going to have precious little disposable income if they are paying off car loans or credit cards and it will be the rent that gets overlooked at the end of the month when all the bills come in. If they don't pay their rent, they will have to move on...to another rented property.
