New Ipswich Arts Centre

Ipswich Arts Centre is a non-profit Public Community Company. Our aim is to bring the redundant medieval port church of St Clement back to life as the Ipswich Arts Centre.

The Ipswich Arts Centre was established in 2014 as a voluntary organisation driven by people with a passion and commitment to creating an Arts Centre for Ipswich. The arts centre will be a diverse performance space, used to host live music, visual arts, film, theatre, dance, poetry and comedy.

We need help to make it happen

Volunteers play a vital role in the success and development of the arts centre, and we need people to get involved who can spare time to help. Volunteering can be challenging, fun and rewarding. By volunteering for Ipswich Arts Centre, you'll be part of a like-minded group who want to celebrate and share creativity, art and culture with their community.
Who are we looking for?
In the short-term, we're looking for volunteers to help transform our building into a viable venue. This will involve installing a new floor, updating the electrics, heating and plumbing.
So we'd love to hear from:
architects
carpenters
electricians
heating engineers
labourers
plumbers
caretakers
cleaners
If you work in one of these areas, we may be able to help with the competencies of your apprentices by providing work experience.
But don't worry if you don't work in these fields; we also need people who simply like hands-on work, and don't mind getting stuck in and grafting for a good cause.
What other skills do we need?
We're also looking for people interested in putting on events and helping to promote and market what's happening at the arts centre.

We need to raise a considerable amount of money to make this happen and there are a number of ways companies and organisations can support Ipswich Arts Centre's work. Corporate support makes a significant contribution to establishing us as a successful creative performance space and community hub.

Corporate sponsors are acknowledged on our website, credited on our gallery walls and logo credited in our email newsletters. You pay an annual fee, and receive the full benefits of sponsorship for a year.
