Avoid

We recently bought a house where James Wardle Boiler Heating and Gas Services had installed the boiler (Greenstar 18Ri FON-GB-NG-1610) only a couple of years ago (Dec-2011) and thought we were lucky to get a newish boiler that we wouldn’t have to worry about. Sadly, that turned out to not be the case. We had to call out a Worcester Bosch engineer for a repair covered under the warranty. Whilst investigating the problem he discovered that the boiler was installed incorrectly: the heating was essentially going backwards as the inlet and outlet pipes are the wrong way around. This mistake meant that the boiler was at serious risk of being damaged and our energy bill was increased. We contacted James Wardle in the hope that he would make a repair and his response was essentially that it wasn’t his problem as he didn’t actually do the work (even though his company is on all the paperwork and they did the service the following year). So either James Wardle is not competent or he sub-contracts work out to people who are not competent. Either way, steer clear.
