Appalling Service

We used John for around two years to carry out maintenance on four gardens once a fortnight. He started off ok, turned up regularly and did an acceptable job. Then he started badgering us for money, wanting payment within 30 minutes of finishing the job, sending text after text after text, calling late at night, claiming he was broke, had direct debits going out he couldn't cover etc. He then started demanding payment before he did the work - which we refused. After a few months the quality of his work went down hill significantly - weeds everywhere, lawns unmown, rubbish from one garden left in another etc. We finally got rid of him but no matter how hard we tried he would not give the keys back. One property has already been entered and goods stolen, we cannot prove who it was but keys were used.
