About me

I mostly teach in the Ashford Kent and Surrey areas so most training will be in those areas. It is not unusual to travel for up to 1 hour to train with a good trainer sessions can be 2 or 3 hours to make it worth your travel time. You can improve your driving as you travel!!

My philosophy has always been that training must be adaptable to suit the trainee and that a fun lesson is good while a stressful one is not. Hence a sense of humour in the car helps!!

That is not to say that there will not be any pressure on you qualifying is not easy. My trainees tell me that I am quite strict - I do expect you to do your best at what is asked of you.

I was ORDIT (Official Register of Driving Instructor Trainers) Registered but have not renewed this year. This involves an inspection of records and training methods by The Driving Standards Agency.

Professional Driving Instructor Training. AA Driving School trainer also works privately.
Nothing up front, all payments on an hourly rate ,£35 per hour, as you go. Previously ORDIT Inspected and Registered but have not renewed this year because of cost and necessity.

Ashford Kent area, very experienced, good reputation at local test centers - as I am now living in Surrey I am also doing intensive courses there usually based on Reigate Test Centre - £22 per hour.

Check Test Remedial Training

Just wanted to say a huge thank you for my check test training last week. As always found the session really useful, informative and enjoyable. Had check test yesterday and achieved a Grade 5, absolutely delighted with the result. Lesson went really well and in your words Jim all I did was teach "sensible driving". If there any ADI's that have Check test's in the near future and suffer with test situation nerves like myself, I would highly recommend have training sessions with Jim.
