History

JMS was formed in 1991. Since then the company has continued to expand. Our aim has always been to supply a standard range of high quality transformers from stock and to manufacture bespoke custom built transformers within 1 week of order. For the past 4 years, most of the bespoke custom built transformers have been manufactured and sent to customers within 3 days of order. This includes transformers up to 100kva 3ph.

Single Phase

Single transformers can be designed to meet all of your requirements, no matter how unusual. We manufacture for all industries from toy manufacturers to nuclear power stations. With over 25 years of experience, we feel that JMS transformers can cater for all of your transformer needs.

Rewinds

We can offer a full rewind service, This usually takes a little longer to turn around than a new transformer and can usually be more expensive. However if the voltages or VA ratings are unknown, or the transformer is needed to be a critical size, then a rewind might be the only option. In the case of these example transformers, the output voltage of the burnt out transformer was unknown. The transformer terminals had not been labelled by the original manufacturer, so the only option was a rewind. On this occasion we were lucky enough to have the coil bobbins (formers) in stock. Usually in the case of rewinds we have to make a bobbin or adapt as stock bobbin. The transformer was a 200KVA auto. We turned it around in 2 days.
