A diverse workforce of time-served tradesmen and craftsmen employed directly by ourselves who can undertake Brickwork, Stone Masonry, Carpentry, Plastering, Painting and Decorating.

Our workforce has experience in both modern and the more traditional methods of working and techniques

An in-house Joinery Workshop where we are able to produce high quality joinery.

A portfolio of specialist contractors who we have worked with over many years including leadwork, stained glass, stone carving, timber carving, and conservation, together with mechanical and electrical contractors.

We have recently carried out substantial contracts at Peterborough Cathedral, The John Clare Heritage Centre, Helpston, Moulton College, Northampton and refurbishment of Diocesan Family Care's new offices in Peterborough. Smaller projects and day to day maintenance also contribute to our diverse workload.

Independent Funeral Directors

John Lucas (Peterborough) Limited was established in 1895. As independent Funeral Directors we take care of all the funeral arrangements for you and pride ourselves in providing a professional and personal caring service at all times. Arranging times and dates of the funeral to suit the family, newspaper announcements, liaising with churches and crematoria, help and advice with completing the necessary paperwork and forwarding to the appropriate authority. All funerals are dealt with on an individual basis and every effort is made to fulfil the family's requests. Our funeral director, Mr Ian Smith, has been employed within the funeral industry for many years and treats all bereaved families in a caring and sensitive manner. Our staff are always available to offer sympathetic advice and to help you deal with any matters of concern before or after the loss of a loved one. A Private Chapel of Rest is located at our premises and a car parking area is available for the use of visitors. We offer a 24 hour service with the choice of making the arrangements at our office, or if preferred, in your own home.
