I have been into this shop a couple of times now, usually on the way home from work when in danger of missing my local fruit and veg shop! I have been disappointed every time so far, in fact I think the only nice thing I have had is a banana, and that was bruised at the bottom!The produce generally seems a little bit battared and bruised, like it hasn't been looked after very well. And everything else looks like it has been there since the start of time! I tried to get some fresh root ginger from there last time, and all I could find was what looked like a dead tree! Completely shrivelled up and way past the point at which you would just give it up and throw it away.John Mannion is handy if you happen to be in town, but if it is still open, use the market!
