convenient but expensive
I live 2 miles from here. I had a quote here for servicing my TDI Bora - I usually supply my own PD oil as I can buy it much cheaper than garage prices. Lubrication service was £99.99 but only £18.40 taken off for own oil as they said service is 'very cheap' anyway. Normally they charge around £40 for the PD oil. They quoted £55 for a MOT - many garages charge a discounted price of around £35. I was also quoted £230.58 for replacing rear discs and pads and £61.12 for brake fluid change. Altogther the quote came to £428.29. I went to Inchcape instead and paid £56.49 for Lubrication service (supplying own oil), £35 for MOT, £210.45 for rear pads and discs and £56.70 for brake fluid change. (car was washed and vacuumed for free). Altogether the work came to £358.64 which is nearly £70 cheaper than Johnsons.
