Awful awful company

Bought wardrobe on 16th Aug. Having been told their supplies only supplied to them, I later found the item on several other websites. Contacted their supplier who confirmed this. Was told 6 weeks delivery, the salesman wrote in almost illegible writing 6-8 weeks which we would never have accepted. They refused to do a refund and would then not confirm their status. Tried to get understanding of what was going on but their customer service / solicitor (who uses a solicitor as a customer service?) has a terrible way of dealing with issues and eventually refuses to speak. Rude and threatening customer service in store, terrible customer service from head office. Never in my lifetime have I experienced behaviour like this. In my honest opinion, to save yourself the headache, stay clear.

AVOID THEM AT ALL COST ! On March 23rd, 2010 we bought a full bedroom suite, dining furniture and 2 leather sofas. The bed was delivered incomplete and with the wrong brackets. When assembled it rattled and was very wobbly. The chaps which delivered it assembled it and leaned against the wall thus causing damage to wall. After numerous complaints and trips to their Edmonton store we eventually got the proper brackets and a support bar which I collected and assembled. This was nearly 3 weeks later. Meantime we could not use the bed. The bed proved to be very fragile and made out of very cheap materials. You basically get less than Ikea quality at John Lewis prices. The two sofas were supposed to be delivered in 14-16 weeks yet 21 weeks later (August 14th) we still haven't had them delivered. A cheap used sofa was provided as replacement which was dirty and uncomfortable. All lies and silly reasons. Communication is very difficult and you have to go to the store to get anything sorted. We asked for compensation for all hassle and we were offered was £ 75 after spending over £ 5000. Naturally we cancelled the order and asked to have the advance refunded but this was refused. we are being held for ransom until they collect the used sofa which is not even worth the deposit. Make sure you get plenty of witnesses and put everything in writing as they will deny even the most obvious. They are nothing but a bunch of cowboys and we are now seeking legal advise as we have no option but to take legal action.
