"Best Comedy Club in the Midlands" - Chortle awards 2002
"Best Comedy Club in the Country" - Johnny Vegas
Nottingham's Original Comedy Club runs every Saturday Night plus one-off Special Tour Shows. It's location in the heart of Nottingham's entertainment complex, The Cornerhouse makes it the perfect place for a night out. With many surrounding restaurants, (see our Tamatanga Deal), and the transformation into a Night Club after the comedy, it's the ideal package to suit any occasion in the very heart of Nottingham City!
Every Saturday Night includes 3 hand selected acts and a compere to host the night. We have a reputation of "Consistently Boasting The Best Line-ups in the Country" (The Times) and after providing Nottingham it's comedy crutch for the last 20 years, we feel that speaks for itself.
Some of the acts you may have missed with us in the past include; Ricky Gervais, Bill Bailey, Michael McIntyre, John Bishop, Micky Flanagan, Ross Noble, Daniel Kitson, Johnny Vegas, Kevin Bridges, Peter Kay and many other faces that are now household names!
So don't mess around, get yourself out and have a laugh with us. You can book via our website www.justthetonic.com or call 0115 9100009.

What a fantastic night out...drinks, laughs, music and very very very funny people! A great atmosphere grips you as you walk in and if you're not laughing within the first five minutes then you'll be on your own! Just The Tonic is an excellent night out for any occasion and just what the doctor ordered!

Just the Tonic Comedy Club is an unusual place, a one-off. It's informal, intimate and the funniest place I've ever been on a Sunday night. The relaxed atmosphere means the comedians are often at their best, working with the crowd and being much more improvisational than at the bigger venues. Plus, whoever books the acts is clearly more discerning than at some of the larger clubs (*mentioning no names*), and so you can guarantee that whether everything goes to plan, or nothing goes to plan (e.g. the day when Daniel Kitson compered and took over 15 encores, or when Johnny Vegas arrived late and did his whole act standing on a wheelie bin in the street) it will be an interesting, entertaining night and well worth the entrance fee. And that's another thing - it's much cheaper than many clubs too!
