Dream kitchen that turned into a nightmare!

We appointed Karol Janik Kitchen and Bathrooms (KJKB) to design and install our £20,000 dream kitchen as we were led to believe they were experienced at installing quality kitchens. We were told the works would take less than 2 weeks; what followed was months of stress and disruption. The problems encountered are too numerous to list in detail but included incorrectly ordered/supplied units and parts, poor workmanship (which resulted in the tiled floor and underfloor heating having to be ripped up and relaid) and a general lack of effective project management. Communication was poor and on a number of occasions we were left in the house waiting for workman who didn't turn up. After 10 weeks of upheaval, stress and missed deadlines we decided, after taking legal advice, to terminate our contract. We have now paid another company to finish and rectify the works. This is an honest and accurate account of our experience with KJKB and we would therefore not recommend them in any way.
