Newborn and Child Photographer, Preston, Lancashire
Welcome to Kelly Melling Photography. I am a mum of two and work from my relaxed home setting in Lostock hall, Preston. I specialise in newborn photography and children.


I have been working with children for over 10 years as a childminder and my passion for working with them has branched out into my photography. I first discovered an interest in photography over 15 years ago whilst doing a course at college. It wasn't until a few years ago I re-discovered my love for photography taking photos of my family, especially my little girl Ellie and my son Jack at every opportunity. Recently I have grown to love newborn photography and I love watching the children grow and develop little personalities that shine through the photos I take at different intervals. From tiny newborns to their first birthday cake smash I love capturing those memories.


I have been professionally trained in newborn posing and safety by award winning photographers and am also level 3 qualified in childcare. I am fully trained in paediatric first aid so your child's safety always comes first. I also have a extensive crb check. As a mother of a child with down syndrome I also have over 9 years experience working with children with special needs due to my daughter having Down Syndrome. I aim to make you feel as comfortable as I can when at your session, as I know all to well how daunting it can be taking your child with extra needs somewhere they are unfamiliar with.



I am here to capture those first moments, to document and create everlasting memories. Sometimes you forget just how small they were, from their tiny toes to their windy smiles. Nothing beats being able to give back the lovely keepsakes in beautiful imagery.
