Dealt with the director. worst interactions with another human I have ever experienced. After kindly expressing my feelings towards his behavior, he deliberately upset me further. Took over two full months to get deposit back doing all I could. Beyond awful.

terrible
I have seen key lettings signs all over the place and have been keen to view lots of their properties but they have not answered any of my emails, they seem to have many phone numbers which never gets answered and you cant leave any messages for them. How are they even surviving? I cant honestly tell you as they are obviously not fussed on getting my custom and quite frankly from reading the rest of these reviews I totally agree with them and shall stay far away from this company.

Key Lettings, The worst estate agents iv had the misfortune of being associated with
Paul, the manager of key lettings, is the rudest most unprofessional man i have ever dealt with. When i went to pay deposit, first months rent and collect the keys(which had been arranged a week in advance) i arrived at the estate agents to see paul just leaving, it was about mid-day, i thought nothing of it. so i paid and was told he would meet me at my property with the keys(in 5 minuets)...He had me waiting outside the property, with all of my stuff for over an hour before he showed up. Which was not ideal. They now also take money out of my bank account at random time and then ask me to send them a bank statement to refund it. In the first month they took 3 months worth of rent out of my bank account, and every time i ring them to rectify there mistake Paul never apologizes, or try's to make it easy, he just rants and raves in his loud unprofessional manner. Finally when it came to moving out they would not hand over my deposit, even though the property was still perfect and in a pristine condition. Two months later and i still have not got my deposit, and after ringing them repeatedly, i have found that they are quite unwilling to help me get it back, legal action is now in process. Three words can describe this estate agents, RUDE, INCOMPETENT and UNPROFESSIONAL. DO NOT USE THIS ESTATE AGENTS THEY ARE CON ARTISTS AND WILL TAKE AS MUCH MONEY AS THEY CAN.

obnoxious, unprofessional bully
I have never experienced such low levels of professionalism in any line of business in my entire life. The agent (who goes by the name of Paul) who dealt with our lease was one of the most outrageously rude, crass, short tempered and untrustworthy people i have ever met. he is a thug, a bully and a liar and we felt too intimidated to talk to him on several occasions. we were all set to make a complaint about him to the manager, when it came to light that he was the manager of the entire company! he failed to inform us of some building work that was going on in the flat which has been going on for weeks now, and when we went to ask him why he had not told us, he began throwing abuse at us in an angry and childish way. i urge you. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY'S SERVICE. if you want a good letting agent in that area, try joseph alexander, who are extremely professional and helpful, or cj hole who are a delight to deal with.

Stay clear of key lettings
We drove all the way to Bristol to pick up our keys and pay the outstanding amount - Paul didn't have a clue when we were down there!!! He didn't have all our keys and when we were 10 mins from home we had a phone call from Paul saying we owed him more money we were fxxxing this cxxt this he was coming up for the keys - texts went on for a few days he told me no one owes him money he's from London he will sort you!!! He told me he will make sure I get a ccj - I had to go to my solicitor in the end with all the texts printed off - I would deffo not recommend key lettings

Wideboy Manager, avoid at all costs!
Warning: Do not rent through this agency! At the end of our tenancy we were informed by the landlord that she had instructed Key Lettings to release the full deposit back to us. Key Lettings then informed us that the best way to go about the repayment was to use the deposit protection scheme On-line. Needless to say, we thought this was brilliant as we knew full well that this would be the quickest and easiest way of getting the money due to us. How very wrong we were... a full week later (2 weeks after the end of the tenancy) and they have still not taken the 5 minutes required to go to the website and agree the repayment of our deposit. I have phoned, emailed and left countless messages for the manager this week (apparently he is the only one able to authorise the repayment) to no avail. All of this is bad enough, but the final straw came today when I phoned yet again and was told that the manager (who I've still yet to talk to) was claiming to have released the deposit. Well, not so bright, as one quick call to the DPS confirmed that this was a straight out lie. Luckily our property was Let Only and therefore not managed by Key Lettings, so at least that's something! But I really urge anyone looking to rent through Key Lettings to try one of the more reputable, larger agencies first. Unless they are making money from you, do not expect ANY level of service from Key Lettings

Will try and keep your deposit!
After being an excellent tenant for Paul, for 2 years, when I went to leave and retrieve my deposit he tried to find things that he could charge me on and to deduct from my deposit. It was an insult, particularly how I looked after the shared accommodation and kept it clean to a high standard and helped with advertising and do viewings for him. He turned extremely aggressive and tried to say I had done stuff to the property but was actually there when I moved in, luckily I had Landlords insurance and threatened them and he backed down. I had also seen many tenants come and go and he always managed to bully them by deducting some or all of their deposit. Disappointed, I would not recommend going with them, he is dodgy and if anything breaks down (heating etc), you can be sure to have a long wait until it's fixed!

Rude and poorly organised
After renting through this agency I would strongly recommend for others to avoid the hassle and tedious situations Key Lettings (Bristol) produces. The agency repeated lost forms and contracts that I had filled out resulting in a weeks delay to collect the keys for the house - which i was told about ON THE DAY that i was meant to be moving in. One of the employees, Paul, was very rude and condescending each time I spoke to him, and kept getting the deposit and agency fee wrong at one point demanding that I was meant to pay him an extra £200 on top of what was agreed in the contract. My only advice would be to stay away from Key Lettings, or if you are already with them, then read your contract very carefully and be sure on the money you are supposed to pay - compared to what they think you should pay.
