Beware

Never hire this guy to do any work for you. Mike Stevenson doesn't want to do what the customer wants but what is quickest and has the most profit for him. Doesn't matter how clearly you spell out what work you want doing and how you want it doing and how it should look when it is finished, when he does occasionally turn up to do some work he will ignore what you wanted and start to do his own thing whilst swearing blind that he his doing what you agreed. Doors that had big gaps around them were apparently perfect. Door handles that weren't the agreed handles were poorly fitted and had so much wobble and movement in them they looked like they had been fitted 10 years ago. But according to Mike that is how all new handles are. 4 brand new doors ruined and 1 of their replacements ruined as well, Quite an accomplishment. After 16 days in our house I would be surprised if we got 5 days work done. I spent more time cleaning up their mess then they did working. Two vans but only one dustsheet between them. Don't be taken in by his patter, he only wants to get his hands on your money then get to the next job even before yours is properly started.
