KPH Groundworks (Ire) Ltd.

KPH was founded in 1972 by Peter Kelly. It was established as a minor works civil engineering contracting company working within the construction industry and for the Department of Environment.

Within a few years KPH had established itself as a major player having won several contracts with the road service and providing a credible and reliable service to several established contractors throughout the province.

By 1985 KPH had successfully tendered for larger contracts providing the complete groundwork package to contractors, whilst still providing a high standard of service to the public sector.

KPH was now moving in direction, whereby it was capable of carrying out works such as general block laying, specialised wall construction, shuttering, in-situ and pre-cast floor construction, drainage, roads and landscaping, all in large scale operations.

KPH had now established itself as a provider of quality groundwork solutions to the Northern Ireland construction industry and by 1995 was taking on contracts in the Republic of Ireland.

At around this time KPH had bought several sites for developing and had entered into the house building sector.

KPH continues to construct houses for a select list of clients throughout Ireland and is now one of the largest house building contractors in Northern Ireland, enjoying a successful relationship with CRL the CEF and the CITB own land.

By providing an engineered lead product KPH has enjoyed an exceptionally high level of repeat work, ensuring an accurate, speedy and cost effective solution to today's construction industry.

KPH is entirely self sufficient employing site engineers using total station precision setting out equipment. Site managers with proven track records within the construction industry.

A modern fleet of eight wheeled lorries, fully serviced by a back-up team of fitters.
Over 20 excavators ranging from 6tonne to 35tonne, a range of dumpers and several site handlers, as well as a crane. All to provide the client with the complete in-house construction product.

KPH has completed several multi million pound projects throughout Ireland, directly employing 75 personnel, including 4 Quantity Surveyors, affiliated to both the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and the Chartered Institute of Builders. 4 contracts managers, 6 site engineers, 4 office administrators, various plant operators and skilled and semi skilled site operatives. KPH has established sound working links with a variety of specialised sub-contractors throughout Ireland and hence now receives a preferred status, ensuring a speed response and high quality of workmanship.
