About Myself: Laura A Brown
I currently hold a Distinction Level B.A Music Degree from Abertay Dundee University / HND Music Performance Qualification / Music Performance National Diploma / Grade 5 Popular Music Theory Qualification from The London College of Music.
I teach from my new soundproof vocal studio located on my property and which has recording facilities for my pupils to professionally record songs.
I recently had the pleasure of singing for HRH Prince Charles at the Scottish Business in the Community Awards Ceremony in April 2012. It was held in the National Museum of Scotland and I was accompanied by the Frazer Mitchell Jazz Trio with whom I sang with on a professional basis at events, weddings and functions throughout various venues around the UK. I also in my spare time appear on the local ‘gig scene' throughout Scotland as an acoustic and voice solo act and have played for many charity events. Disclosure Scotland Verified PVG REGISTERED.
I offer singing lessons from beginner to intermediate and advanced levels. These lessons will consist of warm up techniques, basic vocal anatomy, music theory, introductions to various genres of music, learning songs and help with any musical based ‘course work' my pupils may have. I also teach popular music theory lessons grade 1 – 5 covering a wide range of scales, chords, improvisation, rhythm notation, harmony and transposition. Being a guitar player myself I also have lessons geared towards ‘beginner' guitarists covering basic skills of chords, reading tab music and warm up techniques.
Party Packages & Solo Recording Experiences must be booked in advance /vouchers can be purchased for all of my sessions.
I intend for my students to gain the most possible out of their lessons and structure each lesson to suit your individual needs and interests.
