WELCOME TO L'AMOUR WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM OUR BRIDAL STUDIO

L'amour is a multi award winning bridal studio and is probably like no other shop you have visited before. There are no heirs and graces, no pomp and ceremony and everyone is made welcome regardless of their size, age or budget. The atmosphere is electric in the bridal studio and the staff are helpful, friendly and incredibly knowledgeable.


Our décor is fun vibrant and modern. There is not a chaise lounge, gold cherub, boring magnolia wall or tacky gold guilt frame mirror in site!.. Our changing rooms are spacious and the studio echoes and epitomises everything that a modern bride needs and wants. We truly have thought of everything including the man in your life. We also own L'amour Men's Formal Hire Studio situated next door; to ensure complete continuity for our bridal party, we work closely with our Men's Wear team.
We offer a free neckwear making service, so you are able to hire the exact colour matching neckwear and handkerchief to that worn by yourself or bridesmaids. We can acquire a male manikin from next door, in the style and colour suit that you and your partner have chosen and make it available to help give you as a bride an over all look and feel for the colour and theme you desire, especially during the crucial stages of selecting the perfect gown and bridesmaids dresses. When you stand back in front of the mirror it simply allows you a sneaky peek at how your wedding pictures could look without your groom seeing “THE" dress.

When you attend your appointment, it is often a good idea to bring a pair of shoes with you, the height you intend wearing on the day and also a strapless bra. The correct figure shaping underwear can make a huge difference to your confidence and silhouette, we do however hold a small selection of shoes and underwear in the shop. I would like to take the opportunity to reassure you that you have nothing to feel nervous or aprehensive about. Our staff are trained to put you at ease and make choosing the perfect gowns and accessories a pleasure not a chore.

All we ask is that you keep an open mind, as sometimes what you want and what you choose can end up being very different once you experience the fabric, cut and colour of a gown against your skin and are able to actually see the gown on. It is always a good idea to do your research before you purchase your bridal gown by asking the retailer a few carefully chosen questions.
At L'amour we are very upfront and we do not believe in hidden costs. Once you have purchased your gown the Fitting is FREE of charge, Continued Measurements are FREE of charge, Storage is FREE of charge, Steaming is FREE of charge and your gown bag is FREE of charge. The only thing you will be expected to pay for additionally are alterations, as they are undertaken by an outsourced company but all fittings and pinning's do take place within the bridal studio. There are price lists located in all of our fitting rooms and at various points around the bridal studio for your convenience.

Why not ask a member of staff about our Exclusive Late Night Friday Appointment, otherwise known as “Girls Night In". There is no charge for this personal appointment and it is a fantastic way of bringing everyone together to thoroughly enjoy choosing and trying on all those styles of gowns you have seen and been dreaming about in your wedding magazines. You simply book in advance and, arrive at your agreed time from 5pm onwards and you are welcome to bring whom ever you want with you. Once the whole party has arrived we will lock the doors and you are granted private, exclusive use of the bridal studio until 8pm in the evening. Due to the profile of some of our clients, discretion and privacy are paramount, so we are able to lower our shutters internally whilst your party are trying on the gowns to ensure the utmost secrecy. As the bride you will be able to try on as many bridal gowns as you wish and your bridesmaids have the choice of the entire bridesmaid's collection at their disposal. You have myself and another member of staff to see to your every need and advise you every step of the way. As our sizes range from an 8 to 34 we truly have got everything covered. You are welcome to bring along a bottle of wine or two as well as a few light snacks, as long as they are consumed on the hard wood floor area of the studio.
