We offer serious and stylish cosiness without being pretentious. Relaxed service is our hallmark. We are a well established restaurant where you can savour the best of food made with passion using local and French produce, accompanied by the finest of wines from celebrated cellars.
Situated at the south end of Broadway Market, Le Vie en Rose is a delightful french eaterie with a great wine list. The menu is strong, combining classics (steak and chips) with the more unusual (roasted lamb and baked peach). Thinking back over numerous trips there for brunch and dinner, the food has always arrived fresh and perfectly cooked. My one (and only) nudge, is that the presentation of dishes can sometimes feel a little too fancy. For me though, the points Le Vie en Rose drops due to 'fancyness,' it scores back (and then some) with its tasty food and informal, friendly and buzzy atmosphere. Not to mention fantastic service. The menu is on the pricier size (£10-£17 for a main) but definitely good value. Le Vie en Rose is a special occasion and/or 'rush of blood to the head' kind of place...

En Vie La Rose was once Sir Walter Scott, is a cute little Southern French Restaurant just off Broadway Market. It's a great place for brunch. The bright lite restaurant is cozy, with lots of tall windows and high ceiling, perfect for a brunch date! The staff are all French, of course, they only serve coffee here, the French way and not the instant British crap coffee. Their brunch menu changes often, but for about £7 the meal includes: pain au chocolat (flaky, buttery, amazing), Croque Monsieur with scrambled eggs and bacon.I haven't went there for dinner so I can't review for that. Apparently there is a boycott campaign against this restaurant with the locals because Tony's Cafe used to be there and got pushed out by wealthy Wratten bullied and demolished the local business. It could get busy on Saturday midday as Broadway Market opens. So go earlier to avoid line up, and take a walk down Broadway Market afterwards.
