Benjamin and David Childs write their own reviews
Don't believe their positive reviews to counteract the honest negative reviews. They have been taken to court many times. There are unsettled Court Judgments against them. They have gone bust with huge debts. They use false names and addresses. They lie and deceive you at every opportunity even in court. They don't return your calls or emails. They company has always been owned by David Childs which I had confirmed by the Landlord. Benjamin Childs is currently trading as a sole trader of Langley Motors. They went from Langley Motors Ltd in 2005 (which David Childs put in his Younger Sons name Jamie Childs) and declared himself bankrupt with huge debts. Then continued to trade as Langley Motors in the name of David Childs older son Benjamin Childs. They Falsely listed Langley Motors with Companies House in the name of Steve Jones (alias Benjamin and David Childs. We took them to court 6 times after buying a car from them that was not fit for purpose. when we won the case we had to sent in the Court Enforcement Officers to collect payment from the owner who the Court Enforcement Officers confirmed was David Childs. If you really want to buy a car from them get an independent inspection from the AA, RAC or Main motor dealership before you part with any money to Langley Motors so you don't go have through 2 1/2 years of court procedures like we did.

Disgusting Service
DO NOT BUY FROM LANGLEYS. Absolute con men!! After trading in my perfectly working car for something bigger, it had major fault after fault after fault within days of ownership! They took the car back and replaced parts that didn't need replacing and gave the car back still broken as before. I was promised a Focus as a courtesy car, but was given a 1996 Corsa that they said was going for scrap in a few days. I had to drive this around with my wife and 8 year old child, utter death trap!! They tried to ignore and delay any questions regarding taking the car back to fix, they couldn't care less once they have your money! My wife and I missed cancer treatments because some days the car failed to start all together. We called Ben (one of the owners) to explain this and he just laughed down the phone and said it wasn't his problem, even though the car is still within their 3 months warranty, disgusting!! I had to use my local garage to get some of the parts replaced that Langley’s mechanic failed to obviously notice and then tried to put the blame on my local garage saying its their fault the car still wont start properly. No idea how they have come to this conclusion??? Once they have your money, Langley’s couldn't careless about after sales. Wish I had come across these reviews before I bought a car from them. This company has now been reported to Berkshire Trading Standards and will now be taking it further.. Buy a car from Langley’s at your own PERIL

Dodgy motors r us they should be called
Absolute crap...DO NOT BUT FROM THESE......will take you money then you get nothing but problems wityh the car that they will not fix

Misleading Review
I think Langley Motors are writing their own reviews on here to counteract my very negative one. Make your own mid up if the below review would be written by a normal person from the other side of the country and by chance, not long after I posted my review.

Friendly and Professional
I have just bought my second car from Langley Motors and as the same as the last car they were very professional in their service. I first heard about Langley Motors through a friend who had bought several cars from them previously. I knew they had been based in Langley for a long time as i pass their showroom most days on the way to work, i found out that it's actually 31 years! Brilliant service and definitely recommend these guys if you are after a used car.

Con Men
I bought a Fiesta from them in January 2012 Absolute con men at Langley Motors. The warranty they supply is worthless as they shirk all responsibility of it and get quite rude about it. I could not check the rear windscreen when I bought the car so they specifically wrote on the warranty that it had not been checked and would be covered yet when it turns out it had 3 broken elements they repeatedly refused to satisfactorily repair it or replace it meaning I had to get it repaired myself. I will be taking action against them to recover costs. Do not buy a car from them under any circumstance as you will regret it.

Absolute con men at Langley Motors. The warranty they supply is worthless as they shirk all responsibility of it and get quite rude about it (trading standards are taking action on my behalf). Do not buy a car from them under any circumstance as you will regret it.
