Great instructor - go with him!
Alan is a lovely person and a very supportive, patient instructor. He isn't afraid of being strict when needed but never makes you feel like he is 'telling you off'. I couldn't have passed without him :) Also reasonably priced and flexible.

Patient, persistent, pragmatic
The three Ps above got me to the brilliant P: Passed! Allan is a brilliant instructor that never gets tired to repeat what IS and what IS NOT working consistently. He has also the ability to adjust to your learning style and the imagination to re-phrase instruction in a way that will be understandable to individuals. His great sense of humor offered me perspective on the days I was feeling my performance was less than ok! He is professional, with excellent time keeping and flexible when necessary. He will not focus on things to pass the test only, that comes as a natural result. He will focus on you becoming a responsible driver. He does not push you but he will encourage you to explore your strengths. If you are a moaner as well, like me, he is so patient and able to twist the negativity to a positive outlook. Allan, thank you very much for all your support and incredible teaching!

Exceptionally supportive instructor
I was a very hesitant learner before my first lesson with Alan. However, he immediately put me at ease and reassured me that I would be able to learn at my own pace. Alan is an exceptionally calm and supportive instructor and he builds your confidence from day one. He is extremely good company and he always made the lessons enjoyable. Alan explained things very clearly which made difficult manoeuvres easier to understand and perform. His car is a great to learn in and I would also recommend the Pass Plus course he offers, especially to help with your first motorway drive. I went from being a 'reluctant learner' to a confident driver. Alan was fundamental in this process and I would recommend him to any learner driver.

A top bloke and a great Instructor
With this man I went from complete novice to achieve a first time pass in just 31 lessons. I like to think we had a good time to as Alan is always up for a laugh. I have already recommeded him to all my friends and wouldn't hesitate to do so again.

Alan
Alan is a great guy who was recommended to me by a friend who had also had lessons with him. I found him a very quiet and patient teacher who I got on hugely well with from the very begining. I felt comfortable and at ease with him and he never pushed me to do more than I was capable of and comfortable with.
