Regarded as one of luton's best kept secrets,Leaside Hotel & Resturant is quitely secluded on the outskirts of luton town centre. A beacon of cullnary excllence, the restaurrant offers a sumptious choice of freshly prepared dishes and a supreme selection of distinguished wines in this beautifully restored 19th century mansion.

As venues go, you can't get a better ambience and food within 20 miles. Perfect setting for intimate special occasions, with an all encompassing menu that would satisfy the fussiest of palates.Reasonably priced with special set menu offers during the daytime. Recommended.

This only gets 4 stars because we booked in for a Sunday and the restaurant is closed Sundays evenings. It might have got 3 stars from me,...a dedicated fried egg fan, because the excellent breakfast was missing fried eggs due to the chef putting the cooking hobs(?) out for cleaning the night before. The lady who cooked scrambled eggs was really good though! There is not alot to do on Sunday evenings in Luton so try driving through HARPENDEN where in Summer you will catch the local cricket team playing. The scene, which is next to the road is pure England at its best. For a decent night out on Sundays, go to St ALBANS where there are top quality places to eat and drink.

A contemporary boutique Hotel set in a sensitively restored Victorian Villa (1878) located on the outskirts of Luton town centre. A bar menu that rivals many restaurants is impressive enough until you see the main restaurant which is probably the best dining in Luton. A special sunday lunch menu and al fresco dining on the terrace on warm days. From full chef designed a la carte dining to unusual bar nibbles with a pint this place is quite unique in the area and a long way from the other identikit hotels in town. Lovely bar too. This boutique hotel has two bars with a lovely fireplace and a very large outside terrace on warm evenings. Without any doubt the best bar food in Luton or the district, better than many restaurants. The hotel has its own more formal a la carte restaurant which has also won awards. This is a lovely restored Victorian villa and a haven among the much more tacky bar and hotel fare on offer in this town. You will not be dissapointed.

I forgot to mention that enquiries by email can be made on info@leasidehotel.co.uk and the website is at http://www.hotelsluton.co.uk. I went recently and the fish was as good as I have ever had!
