We arrived in the cold and wet but were quickly enveloped into the warm and welcoming arms of the Letchworths amazing owners Sarah and Kev. They only took over the running of this charming seafront property in the Summer but have already put their own stamp on it and made this somewhere we would want to return to again and again. It was particularly welcome to have a parking space this close to the beach. Our room had some lovely touches. The seaside artwork, the little hot water bottle in the bathroom, the extra toiletries etc... all very thoughtful. As a seafront room it had a large picture window with comfy chairs to look out to sea and a pair of binoculars. You can see right across the bay. I was sat there in the sunshine for about half an hour before I thought I had better go down for breakfast! Kev does an amazing breakfast. I had a full English (all made with really good ingredients) but there was also a wide range of other specials (marmite mushrooms was a popular one) as well as fresh fruit, cereal etc... Sarah sparkles as she constantly replenished coffee, tea and toast and ensured all the guests were looked after. Weymouth was a surprise to us. We were there for Remembrance Sunday and the town really shone in the sunshine. There are a large range of good quality restaurants, pubs and bars which we made full use of. I will definitely be coming back.
