About

Living Landscapes Home Page

Living Landscapes are a fully qualified and professional business offering landscape management, tree surgery and conservation services. Established in April 2000 with the help of the Princes Trust, the emphasis is on working with nature and enhancing biodiversity through the use of organic methods and natural, sustainable materials wherever possible.

We carry out all aspects of tree care

We carry out all aspects of tree care, rather than purely surgery. As tree lovers at heart, the removal of a tree is the last resort in our book, and we would always look at other options before doing this. Whether pruning or total removal is required, our qualified and experienced team are able to deal with the most challenging situations, to carry out the job swiftly and above all safely. Living Landscapes have both Employer's and Public liabilty insurance of £5 Million. Contact Tom for advice and a free quotation.

We carry out work from the creation of new wildife habitats such as ponds or wildflower meadows, to the restoration and management of existing ones, such as hedgelaying and coppicing

We carry out work from the creation of new wildife habitats such as ponds or wildflower meadows, to the restoration and management of existing ones, such as hedgelaying and coppicing. We also realise that the landscape is there for the enjoyment of all, and can advise on and carry out sensitive access solutions such as footpath construction and visitor facilities.

Our landscape has developed a diverse flora and fauna through thousands of years of intervention by man. In recent years much of this natural heritage has been lost through development and increases in agricultural production. Living Landscapes works on projects to help re-dress that balance, helping to create a landscape where nature can flourish alongside the needs of man.

Logs - Firewood & Timber Sales

Our logs are a mix of the highest quality hardwoods including Ash, Oak, Hazel and Field Maple. We never include conifers. All logs have a less than 30% moisture content (typically 20-25%) and are stored undercover before delivery. We cut our logs to approximately 10" (25cm) in length and all logs greater than 3" (7.5cm) are split.

•Bulk Bag-£60 (approx 100 logs)
•Half load-£90 (approx 400 logs)
•Full load-£175 (approx 800 logs)
•Kindling-£3 per bag
Prices include Islandwide delivery, although if barrowing and stacking is also required an extra charge may be required. If you have any specific requirements, please call and let us know.

Living Landscapes supply and deliver high quality, seasoned, hard-wood logs, available all year round, as well as other woodland products. All our timber is the by-product of Forestry Commission approved woodland management and restoration projects, so is a truly sustainable product. Such projects are designed to increase the biodiversity of the Island's woodlands, helping to create habitats for Red squirrels and Dormice among other endangered species.
