Ok at the right time
Bit of a strange review given previously, I was in here recently and I'd like to think I'm an alright sort of person.The drinks are VERY cheap, which accounts for the type of customer you get in here at certain times. I was here early in the evening before heading for food and I thought it was alright. But you could see the clientele beginning to take a turn for the worse around 8.00/8.30 so be warned.Greene King was 99p a pint and there was a good selection of around 5 or 6 other real ales all at £1.89.At the end of the day you gets what you pays for and this fits the bill sometimes. As our American cousins say, "You do the Math".

No soul but some "Rs"
If I was on the dole and wanted a cheap alright drink I'd use here otherwise no thankyou.The place is large with as much atmosphere as Uranus.The food well if it had a wrapper around it I'd eat that and dump the food.It's only good for a cheap drink,service is hit and miss as with all spoons.

Just another boring spoons
Although this place is a nice building in a great location with masses of room it is brought down like every weatherspoons by the vast crowd of boring, closed minded drunks every weekend. The food and drink is pretty poor, prices are average, the atmosphere and people is horrible, they turn horrible commercial pop music up to such a volume that you can't hear yourself think and you would never meet a decent person in this kind of pub. It can make a useful meeting place to start your evening, but apart from that it really is a dive! stay away!
