I first came across Locum GP Consultancy by reading an advertisement in one of the weekly GP magazines.I spoke to Carmen Marshall the business proprietor on the telephone and was impressed with hearing that she could offer me not only locum GP appointments in my desired area but could also give me information regarding permanent GP posts also. At the time,when I first contacted Locum GP Consultancy I was planning to do locum work for a while, whilst on the lookout for a permanent post. I have always enjoyed efficient and swift communication from the agency via both mobile phone and email.I always felt that Carmen listened carefully to my requirements and tried to accommodate me as best she could. I am now in a permanent post but have some time during the week to do locums on top, and I continue to use Carmen's agency to set me up with locum work in my local area. What is particularly unique about this agency is that the setup is such, that the doctor invoices the surgery/practice directly for payment so that one is paid with the minimum of fuss and also one can therefore contribute to one's NHS pension from the locum earnings. Furthermore I have always felt that I have received a personal service from the agency since I am regularly sent emails regarding locums available in my local area which they feel that I am likely to be interested in.
