About Us

Our aim has always been to educated people to improve their skills and qualifications so that they have an opportunity to improve their standards of living and quality of life. People who have education and qualifications have more opportunities for better job prospects and can follow a career path. We provide English Language services for people who want to settle in UK and make UK their home. We train people from basic A1 English Level to intermediate B1 level but can train people further if required. We will also assist with your Home Office applications so that you are here legally and are aware and fully comply with all the rules and regulations of this country.

A1, A2, B1 Home Office Approved English Test

The A1 is a basic Level English Test. At this level a candidate should be able to answer basic questions about themselves and ask questions mainly using present tenses.
The A2 is one level up from A1 and candidates should be able to give a better response than at A1 level, use double sentences, use past tense, describe things, ask more questions and have a better vocabulary.
The B1 English is an intermediate level and candidates should be able to use past, present and future tenses, compare things, describe things, explain things and hold a conversation.
LPC has prepared and helped many candidates pass the A1, A2 and B1 Test for the first time.
We have experience and expertise because we used to be a Home Office approved SELT Centre. This has enabled us to prepare candidates quickly and on time so they can pass and submit the certificate to Home Office.
We conduct a free assessment to establish the level of English and set a time on how long it will take to prepare and then book in for a course. Once completed we will book you for the test at an approved Test centre.

B1 / Entry 3 is just the level of English which Home Office will accept. Before 28 October 2013 Home Office did not set a minimum level which they will accept from applicants but now all eligible applicants must complete B1 level test which is intermediate or upper intermediate level.

For most awarding bodies Home Office will accept just the Speaking and Listening certificate but for some they require the full set – Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing. For more information please contact us.

We have various options and suitabilities to meet peoples requirements and work around their timetable. We can book exams according to your needs and have an option to obtain certificate within 5 days if this service is requested.

Life in the UK Test Courses

To satisfy Home Office requirements from 28 October 2013 and to demonstrate 'Knowledge of Language and Life in the UK'.

1. You must pass the computer based 'Life in the UK Test'

AND

2. You must pass B1 English Test

YOU MUST PASS BOTH TESTS.

The Life in the UK Test is not easy and many well spoken and educated people have failed it a few times. Why? because there are a lot of information to cover especially about the History of UK and famous people. You also have to learn about the Political and Social systems in UK as well as how the UK is governed and ruled.
It is vital that you read the Life in the UK Test Book in order to pass. Most people who just do the online questions and answers and sit the test fail because they haven't read the book.
If you cannot or don't have time to read then you can join one of our courses where we will go through the book and highlight important sections of the book where the questions in the test are usually from. We also have our own list of questions and answers which you must do to enforce your knowledge so you can pass the test first time.
