A Week in Lunigiana
The room was a damp, cave like construction, big double bed and tiny ensuite, on a farm on the side of a valley. The doorless loo let you sit on the throne and see your visitors at the glass front door. While you hoped they couldn’t see you at critical times. If you liked spending a lot of time in a minibus or old car, punctuated by heavy midday meals, the daily trips are for you. However, on holiday I have never reached mid week and said, ” I can’t wait to catch the plane home”. A first.
