ALL STYLES OF CONTEMPORARY SINGING - musical theatre, jazz, rock, pop, soul, folk...

WHICH DESCRIBES YOU?
(a) Tone deaf or just plain terrified BUT would love to sing? I specialise in working with nervous singers so give me a call and we can talk about your fears and how singing lessons can help.

(b) Rusty-voiced, a little shy or wanting to contribute a better sound to your choir? Learn breathing, posture and vocal techniques that will open up a world of enjoyment – sing the songs you love, nail those high notes, develop power and extend your range. Your confidence will improve along with your voice.

(c) A guitarist wanting to sing better with your instrument? I have helped many male and female guitarists to achieve a better and more confident vocal. If you'd like to develop further, you can learn how to sing harmonies, improvise and write songs.

(d) Looking for a singing tutor for your child? Regular singing lessons will help build your child's confidence and foster their enjoyment of singing and music. Children from age 6+ will benefit from the fun, educational sessions – they'll be learning without realising.

(e) Wanting to turn professional or already gigging? Gain help with your mic technique, perfect your audition songs; tweak your vocals for the recording studio and gigs. Singing Teacher Mags is highly skilled in diagnosing and correcting technical issues in the voice, breathing and posture – it may only take a few sessions.

(f) Or do you have voice problems? If you think you may have damaged your voice she can assess whether you are fit to sing, help you to rediscover your voice and improve your technique.

"The atmosphere Mags creates in our lessons naturally encourages me to challenge myself more and more, week by week. I can say to anyone thinking about lessons that you'll definitely notice the improvement in your voice, your tuning, and your confidence after only a few sessions." Jenni (25)

Testimonials

My confidence was zero. Decades previously I had sung in Assembly at school and sung nursery rhymes to my children and had now reached the point where I only mouthed the words to Happy Birthday! More nervous than I can ever remember, I attended my first lesson. Thankfully Mags is sensitive and understanding. She inspired and guided and encouraged me to explore my voice and musical interests. The lessons were structured and interesting. I was taught how to warm up and why, how to breathe properly, the importance of posture and how to look after my voice. There was no pressure, itt was fun, and all within such a 'safe' space, allowing me to grow in confidence.... I have now joined a local choir which I'm absolutely loving. So, you believe you can't sing? Go to Mags Lowe and find your voice. Maggie Luton (67), Hale

I've always enjoyed singing at home in the background but had never taken it any further. Once I hit 40 I decided to do all those things I'd always wanted to do and came across Mags Lowe, who encouraged me to come along and give it a go. Very nervously, I did so and absolutely loved the atmosphere of the group classes from the word go. Mags was brilliant and I found myself singing with others (and eventually on my own!) and feeling more confident each week. She allowed me to go at my own pace and the classes were great fun- I found myself becoming addicted to my 'singing fix'! I've made loads of new friends, have created some 'time for me' and have just signed up to join a choir- a year ago I'd have never thought it possible! Wendy Brown (41)
