When I first rented the unit, they were very friendly and everything was great. However, things changed when I decided to get the items out of storage.I phoned to cancel the unit and schedule a van a few days in advance. Unfortunately, I had completely forgotten that their policy is that you need to give one month's notice or they will keep the deposit. In most other businesses, when they are honest, they warn you in these situations that the deposit will be forfeited, but not at this place. When I called they were like: "no problem!", without any mention at all of the deposit. On the day I took my items out they still did not mention anything, and when all the items were loaded in the van of the driver that I had to pay at 30 pounds an hour, and I asked about the deposit, then they said it was in the contract and it is my fault if I forgot.I told them the decent thing to do would have been to warn me when I called, because then I would have waited another month but they said they were "not obligated". So this seems to be the kind of business where they are hoping the customer makes a mistake so they can take advantage, because it's in the contract. To top it off, they charged me 45 pounds for the driver even though I only used his service for an hour, because they said they charge also for the time the driver takes to return to the office. When I called to pay the van charge and asked them to take pity on me and give me at least a small discount, they said "that's the charge!". I replied that they had lost a customer and they said: "we have waiting lists and a lot of business because people get a good deal here", and therefore they do not care if an individual customer doesn't return. In the last minute, they decided to give me 5 pounds off, which is not much but at least it shows they have a conscience that was telling them what they were doing is not very decent.
