Children aged mature 6 are accepted and adults of any age from beginners to returners. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Piano lessons last 30, 45 or 60 minutes, booked in blocks of 4 weekly consecutive lessons, payable in advance. Fortnightly 60 minute lessons are paid before or on the day. Ad hoc or work rotas are accommodated. See website for fees. Gift vouchers are available for friends and relatives.
Once the basics have been learnt, students can play classical, pop or jazz pieces. Students play for fun or take ABRSM exams grades 1-8 or enter music festivals. Exams have 100 per cent success rate with high marks.
Didsbury piano teacher Diane Paul studied at the Manchester School of Music with international concert pianists. She is an experienced advanced pianist who has accompanied singers and dancers for cabarets and shows and has duetted. She has been teaching piano for ten years successfully. She incorporates Mindfulness in her teaching to help students relax and focus. She also sings with the Bridgewater Hall Singers, with whom she sang at the Manchester Arena with singer Barry Manilow. Diane is a member of the Incorporated Society of Musicians with Registered Private Teacher Status and holds CRB Enhanced Disclosure.
