I had the unfortunate job of taking my brother here to buy a puppy. little did i know what type of establishment it was going to be. yes it is nice and clean and the owners are helpful, but they have no emotions towards these animals! they are not technically a puppy farm because they don't do the breeding themselves, but they are more than happy to let someone else do the dirty work for them! when i asked if i could have the breeders contact details, i was told no, that the breeders wouldnt like that. Any reputable breeders are happy for you to contact them for information and help. After reading through these reviews I wish I had tried harder to convince him not to buy from here. the fact he said if the puppy was found to have any congenital illnesses to bring it back and he would swap it (and then clearly put the poorly puppy to sleep) any true dog lover does not see a dog as a commodity that can just be swapped when 'faulty'!! rather than offering a 'swap' policy this 'pet shop' should take care to ensure they know where these puppies are coming from and ensure they are not likely to have an inherited problem. Please, please, please do not buy a puppy from here, there are plenty of dogs in rescue centres needing a good home. if you insist on a puppy but from a reputable breeder, it may cost you more but is worth to drive these puppy farms out of business.

We bought a cocker spaniel puppy from this place in jan 2013, We were told that the puppy was healthy and 2 weeks younger than it actually was. Our poor little puppy has suffered for the last 8 weeks as it was poorly from the 1st day. We took her to our local vets and had tests done and our vet was appalled at her condition, She had kennel cough, worms, parasites in her intestines, She has been on antibiotics and numerous other things and I'm glad to say she has now just been given the all clear so she can now finally have her inoculations which she should of had 8 weeks ago, but wasn't possible as she was so ill. if any one is thinking of buying from willow farm puppy farm in Lincoln please email me for a copy of our vets report as you will then think twice. When we fist rang about going to buy our puppy they said they were a kennels and just bread a few of there own dogs, When we arrived the owner was no where to be seen as he clearly knows he is fronting a puppy farm. Be warned

two months agoI bought Digby a Cavalier King Charles spaniel from Willow Farm. He had been returned to the Farm by his first owners.I was told he had been previously bought by an elderly couple and when the wife became ill and hospitalized they returned the pup to Willow Farm. He was 5 months of age. He crawled on his belly but I was assured he was just a little nervous and THAT HE HAD NO VICES OR PROBLEMS. This little dog's separation anxiety is so great he totally trashes the house if left with just my other two dogs. He has smashed his way out of 2 dog crates his terror is so great. HE HAS OBVIOUSLY BEEN BEATEN WITH A LEAD. He has enteritis which needs regular vet checks, medication and prescription food. We are now going to a dog behaviourist and our dedicated vet said today, that we can hope to improve his quality of life a little but he will never be a normal dog. She also said that he was a very lucky dog as few people could cope with his behaviour. I have rescued dogs for over 40 years. I paid a great deal of money for this little pup and he has turned out to be the most expensive rescue dog yet.

I bought spike a lovely labrador from willow farm kennels over 12 years ago, unfortunately he has now left us and is up in doggy heaven. I called up the kennels to ask if they had any more available?I was obviously still rather upset and spoke to the owner and told them I wasn't sure if another dog could take spikes place. we must of spoke for half hour about what kind of breeds they had, whether it was too soon and what breed might suit me and my wife. I wanted to have more of lap dog as I was moving into a bungallow and it had a smaller garden. I went down to the kennels and chose a little westie called willy. I have had him over 8 months now and can't get over what a character he is. he's into everything, though a little scared of our cat Tiger? I was happy with the cleanliness of the kennels and have spoken to them a few times to let them know how I was getting on. I'm now wanting another dog but think i may leave it until after the summer as it will take that long to convince the wife. A+ staff and service i'm so glad I called, as I think owning a puppy is a joy and can't now imagine life without willy buzzing around the place wanting to play. I will recommend and hopefully get Willy a friend soon!

we got our choc lab from here 3 yrs ago. I didnt realise till i got there it was a puppy farm, but felt i couldnt leave her there. She too had bloody stools and was unwell and a runny eye. At 6 months she devolped early onset arthritis and is on medication long term. We love her to bits but we have since got a second lab from a reputable breeder and the difference is staggering, in health and intelligence. Puppies like our first lab were being advertised very frequently , how often are they breeding the same poor dog? Dont ever buy from here, i feel physically sick that i have unwittingly supported a puppy farm.lways ask to see at least the mum.

I PURCHASED MY CAVALIER KING CHARLES FROM WILLOWS FARM. THIS WAS MY FIRST DOG AND I WAS COMPLETLY NAIVE IN WHAT WILLOWS FARM WAS. THE PLACE WAS QUITE DIFFICULT TO FIND DOWN A TRACK AND FROM THE OUTSIDE YOU WOULDNT KNOW THEY HAVE SHEDS FULL OF DOGS. THEY HAD AT LEAST 8 DIFFERENT BREEDS OF DOGS INSIDE IN SHEDS THAT HAD HEATED LAMPS AND IT LOOKED CLEAN. AFTER BEING SHOWN THE CAVALIERS I ASKED TO SEE THERE PARENTS. WHICH I WAS TOLD I COULDNT AS THEY ARE NOT BRED THERE. I PAID £500 FOR HER AND THEN WAS TOLD SHE IS NOT KC REGISTERED. LIKE OTHERS HAVE SAID I EXPERIENCED THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM BLOOD IN HER STOOLS THE NEXT DAY. I LIKE THE OTHERS RANG WILLOW FARM AND WAS TOLD NOT TO WORRY. MY CAVALIER IS OLDER NOW AND HAS SPENT HER LIFE ON MEDICATION DUE TO STOMACH PROBLEMS. WHICH MY VET SAID WOULD OF BEEN INHERATED. I WAS ALSO QUITE UPSET THAT THE BREEDS WERE PUT TOGETHER. I SAW MUCH LARGER DOGS DRAGING SMALLER DOGS ABOUT BY THERE EARS. KNOWING WHAT I KNOW NOW I BELIEVE THIS PLACE IS OR NO BETTER THAN A PUPPY FARM. THESE PEOPLE HAVE NO INTREST IN THE DOGS THEY ARE JUST MAKING MONEY AND ALOT OF MONEY TOO. I FELT WHEN I WENT THAT I WANTED TO BUY ONE TO GET IT OUT OF THERE. HOWEVER IM AWARE NAIVE PEOPLE LIKE ME KEEP THESE PLACES GOING. MY ADVICE TO ANYONE NOW IS FIND A REPUTABLE BREEDER AND ASK TO SEE PARENTS. IF THESE DOGS ARE COMING FROM WALES LIKE SOMEONE SAID THERE ARE MANY MANY DOGS IN RESCUE THERE THAT ARE THERE BECAUSE THEY CAN NO LONGER BREED. THESE DOGS WILL NEVER HAVE HAD ANY HUMAN CONTACT AND WILL NOT BE HOUSETRAINED AS THEY HAVE JUST BEEN BREEDING MACHINES TO PRODUCE WHAT THEY ARE SELLING AT WILLOW FARM.

Our handsome boy Chesney has to be one of Willow Farm Kennels finest! A gorgeous male yellow Labrador. We've had him since 2007 when he was 4months old, we fell in love with him because he had huge ears and a gorgeous face, he would've made a fabulous daddy, however thats not why we wanted him. Having also worked previously at the Kennels, I can safely say all puppies were cared for to the highest standards everyday, and had plenty of play time, love and attention. Thanks too J & J for bringing this great guy into our lives. Gem

Purchased an old english sheepdog puppy. This poor puppy was in a desperate state, we purchased him in August 09 and to date he has been inundated with health problems. He almost died the first week we got him...I called the owners of the farm and was offered all sorts of useless advise like give him eggs. A dog that is passing pure blood doesnt need fecking eggs! To this day I still think of what condition his poor mum im ust have been in and also the others that I left behind. Some thousands of pounds on. The people who run this farm, and sell these poor puppies will face justice one day in some form... lets hope not too many animals suffer before that happens...!

I bought a Collie from willow Farm a week ago. I paid £295 for him and think hes adorable!! To say their not a puppy farm may be stretching the truth just a little!! Upon purchase I was given food for him, told when he was last wormed and what tablets given. I know his date of birth, and was also told if he needed to see a vet within the next 6 months after purchase then I could take him to see their vet for nothing as laws have changed about the sale of dogs and the onus is on the seller during that period. I was also told if my own vet found ANYTHING wrong with the dog then I could take him back and exchange him (not that I could now!!) I was also given a written guarantee for him. and told to ring at any time if I had any concerns. Also within the information provided it does state that puppies often suffer from sickness and diarrhoea when entering a new home. (being taken from its litter, car journey, ect) My pup had diarrhoea for about a day and is coming on in leaps and bounds!! (and teeth and claws!!) My only sadness is I couldn't bring them all home!!

My experience with Willow Farm was very much like the previous reviewer, the owner could talk the talk but we weren't fooled by him, he seemed to show little interest in the pups and we felt questions were avoided. There were many pups in this place although looked clean on the outside there was a feeling that it didn't appear to be what it was saying it was. There were many different breeds of puppies and we were told the parents couldn't be seen as they had been brought in from elsewhere.Of course alarm bells went off but when i saw the pup i had gone to see there was no way i could have refused her, i wanted to bring them all home and i suspect the owners know this, some people can't walk away.I paid almost £500 for her and there was no pedigree, nothing not even a sample of food. When we got her home, within the first half hour she had diorreaha and had to take her to the vets immediately, she had a nasty stomach bug but fortunately within a week she was fine,it was very likely if one dog had it then most would have.As with the previous reviewer I also spoke to a couple of people and I was told the same thing about some of the dogs, not all dogs that come from there were well and had got very ill.Fortunately now my dog is about a year old and she is absolutely beautiful and i wouldn't be without her, hopefully we will be fine with her but I do have my doubts and concerns about this place, I feel it needs checking out thoroughly and questions asked by the right people.I don't want to put people off as there are many dogs needing homes and as with me my heart ruled my head and i know i gave one of them a good loving home for life.If I had read reviews before I went i would have pushed for more answeres and wanted a guarantee the pup was fit and well on the day we left with her, many places do a vet check as they leave their breeder. I have got 2 other dogs since and they have been vet checked, all people selling pets should be forced to have a vet check within 24 hours before leaving the seller.

I have a friend who has been looking for a pedigree bichon frise puppy. After looking through many adverts we came across Willow Farm. We spoke to the owner (we presume) who seemed very genuine. We asked if the pups were pedigree and KC registered and were told they were. When we asked if the parents could be seen we were told that "dogs are not bred on the premises therefore mum and dad could not be seen" When we enquired further we were told that the farm was basically a business in which many breeds are bought then sold on "but they were definately not a puppy farm". They also offer a delivery service which seemed a bit weird. Intrigued by this claim that they were indeed a farm that sold puppys but WERE NOt a puppy farm we went to have a look ourselves. The farm was kept very low key and from the outside no one would ever know puppys were being sold inside. The whole place felt undercover and seedy. When we went in we werent even greeted by the person we had spoken to. The pups were kept in stables under heat lamps (nice enough conditions) the breeds were all mixed together and all different ages. All looked healthy from the outside, but who knows if they really were. When we asked where the pups were actually from we were told Wales, this started the alarm bells as many puppies coming from wales are 99% of the time from puppy farms!! So even if willow farm was not one they definately got supplied from puppy farms! We left straight away feeling disgusted and hurt that people could claim these puppies were something they werent and know full well the type of backgrounds they have endured!! We were also told by a local that people had purchased puppies from there that died within a few days. The people that have wrote good reviews of the place may have been lucky with their dogs. But i would beg anyone who is decent and honest not to go to places like this avoid them completely go to proper breeders! The more people that buy from these types of farms the more puppies that will suffer as a result!!!

I bought a labrador bitch (Lady) who was supposed to be a pedigree, paid £475 for her, the vet told me she was probably brought from Wales, and also said she had a bad leg, caused from lack of calcium from her mother. We consider we have saved her, and love her to bits, she is a very clever dog. But I bought a bitch hoping to breed her as pedigree pups so I feel betrayed.

I would like to say that we purchased our Cairn Terrier from Billinghay kennels and he has been the best doggy ever. Everyone loves Benji, and apart from being a typical Cairn (full of mischief) he has the best temperament and is a wonderful family pet. Thank you Willow Farm Kennels for bringing our little man into our lives, he is 3 now and still super! I would also like to add that he appears to be very well bred and would have made an excellant stud if I hadn't had him done (if you know what I mean!). Laura.

ON MY 21ST BIRTHDAY, BACK SOME TWELVE YEARS AGO, I BOUGHT A BEAUTIFUL TRI COLOURED CAVALIER KING CHARLES SPANIEL FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT.THAT LITTLE LADY,HANNAH B TO HER FAMILY WAS THE BEST DOG YOU COULD EVER WISH FOR.SHE AILED FOR NOTHING UNTIL THE END AND DIED IN MARCH OF LAST YEAR AT THE RIPE OLD AGE OF TWELVE OF KIDNEY FAILURE WHICH BROKE MY HEART.THE SERVICE I RECEIVED AT THE TIME WAS GREAT,THE KENNELS CLEAN AND ALL PUPPIES SEEMED IN GOOD HEALTH.I THOUGHT THIS MAYBE LOOKED A BIT LIKE A PUPPY FARM AS THERE WAS A FEW BREEDS THERE TO CHOOSE FROM BUT THAT IS THIS THE ONLY CONCERN I WOULD HAVE.I WANT TO SAY A BIG THANKYOU TO THEM FOR GIVING ME A SUPERB DOG WHO I MISS DEARLY AND I HAVE CONSIDERED MAYBE TO GO BACK AND GET ANOTHER FROM THEM.I AM NOT SAYING THAT THE OTHER LADIES VIEWS ARE NOT ACCURATE AS IT COULD BE THAT IT IS DIFFERENT NOW SO MANY YEARS ON ,I HOPE NOT.EMMA JOHNSON

After finding the details of these 'top uk breeders' I went to vist their establishment in Measham, Derbyshire. I was appalled firstly to see that their 'pets', 2 German Shephers were lame and extremely thin. The puppies that were for sale had kennel cough and sore eyes where the saw dust which was used for bedding has infected them. The young man who worked there was rude and obnoxious.
