Bought a reconditioned washer from Maple Leaf on the corner of Witham. Was recommended by a friend as they were meant to have good after sales service to all it's customers. We purchased the washer in june 2011 and when bought it had a drum fault and was very noisy during the spin cycle. We called the repairs line in december 2011 and they sent a repair man who called and could not find the fault but levelled the washer and said that may help. The noisy spin was intermittent so we made do with it as not to cause any further call outs. Now in May 2012 (outside of the 6 months warranty) one of the suspension support springs has snapped (probably due to the banging from the drum as these are not made to snap) I telephoned today to see if they had any second hand or new springs for sale and was quoted £20 for them to get one. I was told that had I informed them sooner they would of sent the repair man out again (probably to hear him say he cannot fix the problem again). I later looked up the part on the internet and was sold a set of springs for £17, surely Maple Leaf could of offered the part at cost and not tried to make a profit out of the part, i am disgruntled to say the least and hope you try and train your staff to have some compassion to all your customers whether new or re-conditioned items bought.
