What we do

Marchbanks can produce plans to suit your need from the small to the large at competitive prices for the work we do. We can submit to the relevant planning authorities on your behalf and negotiate with them as necessary for the consent. If required we can also manage the tender procedure including helping you to meet your required Health and Safety obligations with outside contractors and finally we can project manage the works through to completion ensuring that the contractor works efficiently and effectively including vetting Contractors interim an final accounts on your behalf before issuing certificates for payment whether you are using a main contractor or a variety of subcontractors.

Whilst we serve a wide range of individual domestic clients, we also are able to serve property speculators designing new houses and residential developments including Housing Associations.

We are happy to work with clients who for whatever reason wish to complete either 'self-build' projects from just producing designs and plans through to full Contract administration and Project management.

Listed building & conservation plans

We understand the complexities of old buildings and the requirements of most council conservation departments. We have worked on grade II, Grade II* and Grade I listed buildings as well as National Monuments, Castles and Churches.
We understand that the council may well want a statement of significance as well as the normal design and access statements when you submit planning and listed building alteration applications. We are able to take the headache of these applications from the home-owner, advise, survey, draw up and design amendments, submit on line. Once permissions granted we can submit structural calculations, submit building control plans then draw up specifications of work and tender documents. Once a builder has been selected we can even project manage the job. We can do as little or as much of this process as you require.
