I was stationary at a give way, a max cabs taxi was behind me the driver was on his phone, he refused to give me any of his details. I rang the taxi firm and they hung up on me. Reported to the police

First time I have used Max Cabs. Arranged pick up from railway station, text sent to confirm he was there, with colour and type of vehicle. Later, arranged pick up from football ground, again on time, with prior text as before. Could not fault them at all. Will use them again on my next visit.

they claimed they had a invisible passenger and received over 20k in damages before i could even fight the case now i dont know were i stand because if i cant get the claim reversed i dont stand much chance of any claim myself, btw i didnt accept liability to anyone so how can the insurance pay them?

I use Max Cabs every day to get me to work and they are reliable and very reasonably priced.

complete let down - lies told ,cabs unclean, drivers often cannot speak english, little knowledge fo the area,often smoke, speed, rude operators etc etc and they are NOT the cheapest in town, have not turned up etc. ring another firm and MAX CAB turns up, almost a complete monopoly - this is absolutely ridiculous

the worst taxis ever, the drivers dont even speak english and drive on high....most of them is smoking weed before starting work

The most absolutely disgusting behavior Ihave ever experienced from a taxi company! After booking a return minibus to Liverpool (from Blackburn) for a hen party the other weekend and being requested to pay in full on the outward journey I was devastated to find that on the morning we were due to return, I had been called 2.5 hours before we were due to be collected and a voice message had been left on my phone to Max cabs would not be coming to collect us due to "bad weather". Not only had they only called once and not even spoken to me, but they had not tried to call again at any point. Unfortunately I only received this voice message 30 minutes after we were due to be collected and they had not answered any of our calls on their other numbers to find out where they were. We knew from friends and family in the blackburn/accrington area that the weather was not that bad at all and all the main roads were open. Liverpool hadn't had a drop of snow! When we eventually got through and asked to be refunded for our booked minibus and the cost of getting another one from liverpool now, they hung up on us. Even now they have only refunded the replacement minibus we had to arrange, therefore we are still £55 out of pocket!! This is also after much effort and having to actually go to the branch ourselves! I personally had to get a train back from Liverpool to avoid being late for work, which set me back an extra £30 as well! I have had problems with them in the past not answering the phones when late, and not turning up, but this has always been local so been a minimum inconvenience to myself. I wish I had not trusted them for such a special weekend which ran smoothly in everyother way. .Max cabs are unreliable and I would recommend you do NOT waste your hard earned money with them!
